The way Mai resembles my mom is mind blowing. Almost 2 years of no contact now.
My mom also went on a streak of being very vocal about self improvement and even appeared on a podcast. It’s all an act, just another way to draw attention to herself.

Is it like a culture thing ? In America, we tell it how it is. Our shows have some of the most blunt and straightforward people ever, and most of the time, viewers don't care. Theze couple act like pushovers, catering to an outsider who throws tantrums. I feel it's easy to ignore a person and enjoy time together as long as you just ignore her after she comes up to you and walks ahead? Just ignore her, she wants to be the center of attention. Just dont give it to her. It's not rude to call out ignorant and rude behavior. Most of the viewers would actually agree becauss they dislike her so much.

What I am realizing is that Chinese people seem to be very complacent when it comes to other people treating them poorly. They were far to complacent with her. She acts like a child who is fighting for attention. It is a little sad, especially considering this type of behavior & being complacent is very damaging to people's mental health.

She doesn’t actually like her husband, so she nit picks everything he does. All the good things he does is a “shouldn’t he be doing it” and if he isn’t doing what other husband are doing for their wives, her mind is like, “he didn’t do xyz”

She has taken him for granted and doesn’t actually care or even realise it. I think the lack of care is probably more obvious.
