I love MVdPs riding. He really makes clear decisions, there is no bullshitting. When he saw Mohoric attack, he possibly saw his chances gone to win for himself, so he decided to go all out for Phillipsen. Great riding!

So funny that Matthews dropped his glasses during the sprint here: 6:18
@bounluCan somebody please explain to me why MVDP didn't go for it himself instead of helping his teammate?
@bounluWhat a generation of sportsmen! They celebrate together!
@pep_jay"Yasper felepse"
@DailyBikeBlissU can see how animal is MVDP
@ahmedmedhat6937The best monument so far this year. Full of plot twists.
@TontoquienloleationPhilipsen to good 😊🇧🇪🐐
@SmokeMirrors-ys7pj❤
@AamerPawarymyyecycling is THE spectacle....
@michaels8607The male race is the only ELITE race.
@potusdumbledore3481A gutsy ride is words used when a rider comes up short at the end. What no one seems to mention is that it was a gutsy performance yet again from the greatest sprinter in cycling. He actually, over a period of two years, went nose to nose with GOAT Sprinter Mark Cavendish (Bang bang finishes). He Took the throne. Who could forget le Tour 2021 when he was right there, only to have Cav win those 4 stages. There were at least 10 wins for Jasper like that over Cav. Along with as many close losses. No sprinter ever, not Kittel, not Greipel, no one ever matched up with Cav as many times. Like I said last May, Cav should've gone straight from the Colosseum in Rome into retirement. If you looked up Kittel and Cav le tour stages, you'd eventually find a couple times both were involved in the finish. Kittel should not even be mentioned in the same conversation with Cav. As a Manx Missile fan, I never gave up hope, but things are looking quite dim this year. Two years I've waited for Astana to actually ride as a team and it just seems too tall an order.
@jamesmurtaugh4910What a race holy shit cycling is very exciting at moment
@Shane-kl4oyThank you Eurosport for not giving away the ending in the title of the video. Fun to watch
@WowRixterNobody likes Jasper
@noelsen1337wowwww 46,1 -288km wtf
@sobotka78Pidcock looks a kid when he is with Pogi and MDVP haha. What a race.
The greetings and sportmanship after an intense final sprint is a proof that these men has class. I love how they congratulate and hug each other.
Philipsen & MvdP: Canyon legends
@xkjagxkBling wins that if he doesn't leave the door open, should've sprinted towards the barriers
@minecraft_twin5469Pidcock. Guts and glory
@ck23jImagine having the world champ riding for you
@amun-ra2509This is getting hilarous the clear high octane of doping happing amongst the peloton. Pog in his doped glory almost ascents at record pace and still didnt manage to drop a bunch of 75kg+ sprinters. Hahahaha EPO firing
@DavidStacey-tx7onReminds me of the 80's👍
@carmenandthedevil2804Nice one Tom👍🏴
@jasonking6892Pido should be a MotoGP rider
@BLITZKRIEG1LOOL so stickers on wheels are cool again 😂😂😂??
@BLITZKRIEG1Matheus was mean and Jasper was brave in this sprint... Something very bad could have happened...
@lucianoafrSan Remo entre dopados, que gran EPO-ca del ciclismo actual
@rafareds7010I think Pogacar not letting Pidcock go infront of him at the descent when they had a small gap was a critical error, he should've followed Toms wheel instead and they could've created a bigger gap and he can roll the dice at the line with his sprint
@ernestpaul6444An awesome finish! You have to wonder if Matthews' glasses falling off caused enough of a distraction to just take the edge of his sprint for a second. Could've been the difference. They were so close!
@simonhjI love this race. Always unpredictable. Such a long distance and it comes down to the last few kilometers. Alpecin deserved it as they did the most work with Lidl-Trek. UAE didn't help them but failed at Cipressa and Poggio anyway.
@7081_HWhat a finish to a 6 and a half hour bike race, Pidcock burnt all his matches with 500m to go. Bling Matthews so close. Chappeau Philipsen.
@meccanisedHow can I permanently BLOCK this CRAP site?
@BobbyWombat1234commentary , still no good ! njoylife
@leduchFaster even than when drugs were rife in the peleton. But when an ice skater has 56 different drugs in her system, both illegal and others not yet illegal, how can we trust any athletic performance these days?
@petekadenz9465All the boys hugging and shaking hands is so cool
@laggypiratesWhat a race! Congrats!
@lloydjarmThe best teammate!
@heday32That moment at 03:52 when MVDP saw Mohorič attack and then took another look back to make sure Philipsen is following before starting the chase!
@riderzonthastormsugar and cadence FTW!
@durianridersI'm impressed by the TV newscaster that pronounce "Milano-Sanremo" perfectly.
@pippoplutopaperinoJust noticed that Matthews loses his glasses during the sprint! Crazy finish. MVDP really went all in for JP several times - cool to see from the World Champ. Helluva race and kudos to Phiipsen for finishing it off. Was pulling for Pogi, but fantastic race all around. Great podium!
@noahbyrd6406Pogi with the smartest move in the bunch: take Philipsen’s wheel as soon as you realise MDVP is doing the leadout lol
@MEB939What happened to Ganna? Did he have a mechanical descending the Poggio? Can’t imagine he’d be dropped there?!?
@alexbonziI love how mvdp takes the gap with POGI … I want to know how many watts he moves during this !!! HATS OFF GOAT 🇳🇱
