One thing you did not mention about cap cut is the same with Davinci every time you make a edit it is auto saving.

maybe this application wasn't mentioned for a reason but cyberlink powerdiector. ive been using that for a few year(editing here and there for a buddy) but has anyone else used it and if so, what are your thoughts on it compared to premier or divinci?

Been Using a program called Filmora for 10+ years and when i 1st jumped on it it was amazing. i was intimidated by things like premier pro and final cut, so this just felt like it was windows move maker (which was i stayed using as a kid) but more amazing! it was a quick one time purchase and ive watch it grow and grow and grow <3 till now.. now everything is behind some fking pay wall and im so over it! every new update is new feature! behind a paywall tho. subscribe for extra assets, subscribe for extra music, subscribe for monthly credits and that's without subscribing to the actual program weather you buy it outright or no. So. im done.. time to learn something new

The free version of Capcut on my PC (windows) hijacked my videos and won't open anymore. I am NOT tech saavy so I cannot say what went wrong. I would not want to upgrade and purchase this app after what it did

Adobes subscription model is absolutely trash. Prices go up after a year and you’re locked in contractually for a full year. I refuse to use any of their software any more period.

When I switched to a MacBook after 35 years of Windows, the ($500) video editing program I was using wasn't optimized for the (then) new Apple Silicon, so I switched to DaVinci. The only thing I use from Adobe is Photoshop, but their prices jumped in January and are creeping up, so I'm looking at alternatives.
I'm thinking now, if you already have a Mac, the Apple Creative Studio just makes sense. Especially if you're someone like me, who isn't a professional video editor and just wants to create videos (and replace Photoshop) as a creator. And now, Apple has acquired MotionVFX as well, so they seem to be headed in a good direction.
Adobe is so expensive. At $12.99/month, and $2.99/month for students, for Creators and students, Apple Creative Studio just makes sense, if as I said you are already on a Mac or MacBook Pro.

Davinci resolve wont open half your 4k files from go pros and dji devices great software probably but have to pay for full version to get it to work with fottage from basic cameras not even high end cameras. Wish this was mentioned in the video as I wasted my time trying resolve off the back of this video....

@andrewturner2226The Capcut free version is unusable now with watermarks and max 1080p. The paid version is almost as much as Premiere Pro, so I immediately crossed it off the list. Is anything actually free and useful?

@andrewharman6861I LOVED Capcut until - one day - it stopped exporting my work. It just won't export.
I had also upgraded to PRO and paid up front for a year only a day before it stopped. ZERO help from tech support. Will try to fight it through my Credit Card charge back system but, currently, I am out almost $200 and have a product that has no functionality.
