Best To Do Apps 2026? Todoist vs TickTick vs Superlist vs Notion vs Motion

Video Overview & Insights

πŸš€ Best To-Do Apps: https://efficient.link/todo

The price of Motion is about 30 per month compared to 30 per Year with TickTick and a bit more with Todoist. Not really fair comparison.

But TickTick and Todoist both have calendar planning and Todoist has also team features. Why are these not mentioned?

↳ Motion: https://efficient.link/r/motion?ref=youtube&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=best+todo&utm_term=2024&sid1=youtube&sid2=best+todo&sid3=2024 *(7 days free + exclusive 🎁 below)*

↳ Superlist: https://efficient.link/r/superlist?ref=youtube&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=best+todo&utm_term=2024

I've been tempted to try Notion so many times but its so overwhelming that it just ends up confusing me more than helping me. Also I'm so glad you called out all those "Notion Influencers". It always kinda irks me how they all have their own specific template they want to sell to you

β€” @AH1-234

↳ Notion: https://efficient.link/r/notion?ref=youtube&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=best+todo&utm_term=2024

↳ TickTick: https://efficient.link/ticktick?ref=youtube&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=best+todo&utm_term=2024

Anyone reading this should know that this video is horribly outdated and doesn’t reflect the capabilities of TickTick as they currently are

🎁 *LIMITED TIME DEALS* (Efficient Exclusives)

Tried Todoist, TickTick, and Notion in that order. None of them solved my actual problem: by the time I unlocked the phone, found the app, and started typing, the task was already gone from my head. The capture friction kills more productivity than missing features ever do. Switched to one that lives as an input field in the notification bar, no unlock, no app open, just write and save. Capture rate jumped from maybe 1 in 5 to almost everything. Wish more reviews tested for that.

Why does the description say "Best To Do Apps 2026?" when the video was posted in August of 2024!

This is a misleading and clickbait title! Hello Dislike Button!

For personalized software recommendations:

Good video, but I think slightly misleading on the weaknesses of Todoist and Notion, especially when it comes to quick capture and research. You’re sort of dismissing them for the wrong reasons, or out of not thoroughly knowing how they work.

Motion is $300.00 a year. Not going to happen 😝

β€” @7775Kevin

↳ Motion Review: https://efficient.link/motion

↳ Superlist Review: https://efficient.link/superlist

I love the idea of using motion for task management but just can’t justify the cost as a solopreneur who is just starting to get some traction and annual revenues under $100k. Will be hiring a VA soon as we start to scale. Currently use the free version of clickup (I initially fell into the whole β€œall-in-one trap) but must admit that I want to pull my hair out half the time, way too overwhelming for what I need.

Ticktick and todoist seem too basic for what I need to keep track of projects and business tasks. I wish motion has a free or low cost tier!!
Any suggestions?

How does motion measure up for habit tracking? If I change from tick tick can I import all of my old information?

β€” @lisa4xmom

3:15 - TickTick

4:51 - Daily Planners

I use Todo List & Daily Planner (android). For me it's the best. You have projects and sub-projects, folders and sub-folders, goals and sub-goals, tasks and sub-tasks... Just that beats many other todo apps. I haven't seen one that does that. I can even track things with the statistics section (can work like a habit tracker). I was able to get setup fast - like never before. πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

@efficientapp I’ve used motion and have the course, it is great for large projects but for small email and tasks it seems overkill to add into motion rather than use a to do list for day to day. Would love to get your thoughts ?

On this channel everything leads to motion.

To hear you say that Notion doesn't work for most business owners was unbelievably refreshing! I thought I was the ONLY one.

@bigbankworldofficial
@

Tick tick offers more flexibility for your buck than other options in this list. Motion is just overpriced AI fluff. The AI get a lot more in the way than actually help. Do not recommend! The only credit I will give is that it is actually really fast.

@atHomeNYC

@noknackman

Don't use Notion because folks are just selling you Templates, but do click on all my affiliate links I call out repeatedly!

@rogerhuston8287
@

The main concern with their recommendation of Motion is that Alex is an investor in the company, yet the app is promoted as β€œthe best project manager and to-do app” without a clear or prominent disclosure. The entire channel and brand, β€œEfficient App,” functions like a funnel, leveraging SEO and targeted keywords to drive users toward products they have a financial stake in, including Motion, Mercury, and companies like Copper CRM.

A disclaimer buried at the bottom of the video description is not enough because most viewers will never see it. If there is a financial interest, that should be disclosed clearly within the video itself so people can make informed decisions.

To me, this feels disingenuous. No hate, just think it is only fair to point that out.

@cashlu4139
@

Appreciate the transparency - thank you! I am going from zero to TickTick, so I am wondering if it is going to be painful going from never using a productivity app straight to using Motion?

πŸ˜‚ isn't it ironic how she says people are selling notion templates to you so don't use notion and skip out on that then go ahead and sell her affiliate links for each app she rejected πŸ˜‚ what that's like blindlingly hypocrite better advice would be to just use what works best for you and not for other people or like them selling things like these folks πŸ‘‹πŸ»

@ConnorAZ
@

Hard disagree on Notion.

You do NOT have to build a whole productivity system in there. It facilitates creation of a system of nested lists. Plus you can give it your own artistic touch with images. Its only downside is thst reminders are clunky and it does not integrate well into calendar time blocking

@adamreiland4630
@

Hmmmm you are pushing motion pretty strong , suss

@curly_

i found ticktick work extremely well with GTD method.

@minhkienphupham5531

Motion is expensive with no free tier, no thank you.

@Synesthesia-r9
@

Notion is hard to setup and use

@Quevision
@

I can't believe that they are not like 300 apps like these already, I don't understand how we still pay for that. Not saying the work of the devs shouldn't be paid for, but there things that are a thousand time more complex and people have open sourced it since like 2003.

@antoinebguitar2869
@

Price is also a factor, both todoist and ticktick are much cheaper compared to motion.

@coachkrunal5281
@

This motion reminded me of the Vivaldi browser, it has the calendar and tasks option, I found it interesting with its new interface, I use it little because my only task app I use is Microsoft To Do, it works well although I miss some things
