That starfish is either dead, dying or having a hell of a good time! Hopefully the seagull doesn't eat it while it's on video! I don't want to see that.
Today's dose of Tranquilitee comes to us from beautiful Lover's Point beach in the Monterey Bay area of Northern California. This stretch of sand is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of California and the United States.
When the sun comes out in Monterey, the ocean sparkles in a million shades of blue. Crystal clear, the waters take your breath away!

We lived there for a year. It is as advertised ❤. Glad that the starfish seemed to make it back into the deep 😀.

@kenlowe-caActually, Lovers Point is in Pacific Grove, which is as far west as you can get on the Monterey Peninsula. If you could look behind you, you would see the staircase leading up to Lovers Point Park. If you turn to your right you would see a big ol' rock jutting out of the sand that is easily assessable, dry footed, during low tide and is surrounded by shallow water at high tide. Beyond that rock is the short sea wall dividing this north section of the beach from the south section of the beach which is where the swimmers and most of the sunbathers go because it is more protected. Of course it isn't a long sun bathing period because usually the fog rolls in during early afternoon in the summer and it's just too blasted cold any other time of the year. Yeah, it was my home town, off and on, for 57 of my 71 years. I'd still live there but my retirement income prevented it. Plus I refused to put up with the tyrannical state government. I sure do miss it.
