Pronominaladverb - “da+Präposition”/Da-Komposita

These adverbs can only be used for non-living objects. To refer to humans or animals, use “Präposition + Akkusativ-/Dativpronomen”.

Beispiel (non-living objects): Maria interessiert sich für ein Smartphone. Ich interessiere mich auch dafür. - Maria is interested in a smartphone. I am also interested in it.
Beispiel (humans/animals): Wo ist dein Hund? Ich habe einen Knochen für ihn. - Where is your dog? I have a bone for him.

-bei ➡️ dabei - with it
-durch ➡️ dadurch - through it
-für ➡️ dafür - for it

🔻Relativsätze
These adverbs can’t be used in Relativsätze.

Beispiel: Willkommen an einem Ort, an dem Pilger, Wanderer, Naturgenießer und Ausflugsgäste zusammenfinden. (Can’t replace „an dem“ with „daran“)
