After being told by her previous instructor that she was dangerous, Ashleigh's journey has all come down to this moment. In this video, we head out for one final drive before her practical driving test, focusing on calming her nerves, refreshing the key driving skills we've worked on throughout the series and making sure she walks into the test believing she can do it. If you've got a driving test coming up, this warm-up drive is packed with practical advice and reassurance that you can take into your own test.
Once the warm-up is over, the cameras have to stop rolling as filming isn't permitted during the driving test itself. We return immediately afterwards for the examiner's feedback, an honest debrief and, finally, the result. Whether you're preparing for your own practical driving test or simply following Ashleigh's journey, this video captures the emotions, pressure and uncertainty that every learner driver experiences on test day.

@charlie.martinaI passed my driving test but I’m a very nervous driver , what would your advice be ? I get nervous as I am about to exit my driveway and I get more nervous as I see so many cars parked up right next to each other near my backstreet where the driveway is , so every time I’m about to exit the driveway there’s already danger because there’s so many cars and there’s a blind junction at the end of my street and because cars are parked up it obstructs my view

@Rem0rsed07Absolutely always indicate for all the reasons you mentioned, I agree wholeheartedly. In a way I hope you don't get more confident and cocky as at your present level you are observant and considerate of other road users as well as competent, unlike far to many I see on the road today.

@a7aylorWell done, I never had any doubts 😊 Called it 12 minutes into the first video, she's a good driver and I would feel safe sharing the the road with her. She just needed to get test ready after being abandoned by a horrible teacher.

@aaeerri13eIts being lovely to see the journey. . These are why I watch is, to see the confidence of a fine woman blossom. I had a feeling Ashleigh did marathons. I personally think as she has trained for a marathons which have a set date in place and youre working towards that goal itv massively motivates you to be ready and be the best you can. On that day. I believe Ashlieigh already has the skills to be on the motorway without even a lesson. Well done superstar no better feeling is rhier

A thought has occurred: maybe a new part to the test could be introduced, course work.
Ie all lessons should be recorddd and an independent examiner reviews (some) of them.
Ok I get that will never happen and be both a logistical and resource e heavy nightmare but it’s just a rose tinted thought. 😊
