It's upsetting to me that the government allows foods that are not good for us to be sold.
If all the egg companies were forced to up their game, it would not be long before prices
came down due to competition at the higher level of requirements.
I'm amazed that so many of our products are not allowed to be sold overseas because we
have such low standards here for our food products.

How about raw eggs in smoothies? Is this also beneficial?

Orange yoke means nothing, it's in the feed. I've kept chickens for over 60 years so I think I know.

I don't know. I tested pasture raised eggs against cheapo eggs, and honestly the way they looked and tasted was exactly the same.
The question is which brand is actually "pasture raised" eggs?
Is this lab testing or just your opinion?
@Dyston-wtzLook at the feed not just the pasture. Please research how the get those darker yokes.
@doyen101The orange yolk doesnt mean its good, marigold and turmeric are used by some to create that
@andrewshenton6541Vital farms are not the ones, big corporate and bad supplemental feed
@andrewshenton6541The main problem with store bought eggs ALL chickens are fed corn and soy otherwise they would die. As supplement or primary feed they all have corn and soy.. Pasture raised, free range, cage free are just marketing terms.
@Hacker-xe8yvWhat is your take on vital farm eggs and the controversy surrounding them right now about how they aren’t what they say they are and feeding them corn and soy
@CheyenneHunter-h9iAnimal welfare is the #1 most important factor. No excuse for supporting animal torture in battery cages.
@katefish3754Its all a Lie Vitally feeds there chickens corn & soy
@jimmorrison3830Vital farms eggs have turned out to be a scam. They feed the chickens corn and soy and feed them marigold to make the yolks deep orange in color. All a scam.
@tsgraphics1Check out the farms because most of those pasture raised eggs are not pasture raised ,properly vital has trap doors they can go out in a small area it was gravel and a few weeds ,,,not good
@deborahmooney3708I've tried to buy pasteurized & I noticed that if you boil the eggs, the shells are porous so much that water is retained inside the eggs!!! Why would that happen? When I was young, I was raised in Illinois. We would go to the farmers to get our eggs, but I don't remember our eggs ever being so porous that they retained the water inside the egg!
@PriscillaVanSutphinOk you asked for opinions, so I’m gonna give it.
In the real world there are single mothers with 2+ kids that can’t afford 8-9$/dozen eggs. Costco currently sells AA eggs for 2.79$/2 dozen or 6.99/5 dozen. Thats a lot of good protein at a great price.
The absolute truth is that you can only afford what you can afford and I’m tired of people shaming others into thinking they are killing their families by serving non-organic cage free eggs.
These labels are all scams, and the companies play the system. However, I have a bunch of chickens and get great eggs. My yolks are beautiful orange because I feed them red peppers. It doesn't mean they have a healthier diet. Factories use marigold extract. That's all it is.
@morehnDam those were the days
@moregoldmoregoldMost of that is a waste of money and a hoaks , grass fed means there still eating the grass and the bugs that have been pesticide by the farmers to grow thicker grass as well as free range , and no one really knows what's really in there because absolutely nobody is there on the farm for the process , I'm sure some are ok but really do your homework !!
@IvanRodriguez-je6ypThe only way to be sure is to go to the farm and see and buy them there the government is corrupt and big business is corrupt
@DanG-o8iThe price of eggs in my country is an absolute yoke.
@markrigg6623I read Brown eggs cost more because the chickens are bigger and eat more food.
@voiceofraisin24118 Pasturaise eggs only $10.99 for 4 meals to me but 1 burger costs me $5.99 for only 1 meal
Think again
Where are you? Eggs are much cheaper there.
@mukeshsinghal286Dr. Sten could youndonan updated egg recommendation video in light of the "Greenwashing" issue with companies like Vital Farms revealing they manipulate their yolk color purposefully and their eggs are full of PUFA just like regular eggs that are cheaper? Turns out we are being scammed by even the Pasture Raised labeled now by greedy companies.
@jtsra7Interesting, but... These are statements without proofs, evidences, facts...
@KommunarskThe nice orange color of the yolk is what made me a believer in spending the extra money for pasture-raised eggs.
@RichardSorel-r1cfirst time i saw pasture raised eggs i thought they were bad, i had never seen orange eggs. i was just use to pale eggs.
@Drpyy_Anyone reading this, if you haven't repented yet, please REPENT, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Lord Jesus have mercy on you❤️🙏
@ProviahIn THAILAND THERE ARE no pasteurized eggs
@petergootWell cheap eggs are $7 now
@DQvence85Cage free, free range, an pasture raised all very different. Pasture raised organic eggs are best.
@citris1In Jamaica there are ‘Omega 3’ eggs. Wondering what that was about so I Googled. There’s an additive to their feed that gives more Omega 3. The rest of the feed likely remains what it was. GMO ? The eggs tasted better than others and the yolk is orange. Any thoughts or more info ?
And what about bird flu being spread to outside fowl by random carrier birds? Bird flu made the price of eggs increase. Just think of how that is affecting US folks these days.
This is 7 years later, during the Bird Flu pandemic. Sone have said that the deeper yolk color is due to other additives, like what, turmeric? But, the Pasture Raised, I went to their website and they feed the soy and corn so, despite the cost, it should be better.
I do still buy them as, they “may” be the best in the area I can get. I’ll have to look and check local farms, however. I think people are appropriately going crazy about the cost of eggs and also milk. But, hey, there’s other things you can eliminate from your diet.
Pasture raised, and NOT vegetarian...chickens are NOT vegetarians....and avoid the "impossible" meat....more of the same JUNK !!!
@ITILIIYes, most certainly!! Pasture eggs all the way!
@michaelhodges8312Want to save money.Cut out the cable t v and spend the money on your health
@TerrillFloyd-x4qGreat video. I raised chickens for years and the eggs were so superior to store bought eggs. When you get accustomed to pasture raised eggs the pale white eggs with the pale yolks are almost inedible. It is so nice to see good quality eggs in the grocery store nowadays.
@donnrichardpowell9246The major problem is the whole supply chain of eggs is unreliable! Raise your own chicken and eggs!
@danielc9329Just bought Pasture raised eggs at Walmart for $9,97 per doz !
@FGMosso$2 eggs, yea, 7 years ago, not in 2025
😂
7 yr old video, good eggs are now $10dz
@JohnnyBravo-zu9oeEthan completely copied your thumbnail. You can even see the prices listed there were adjusted for inflation 😂
@danedi2951Why are Kirkland organic eggs yolks yellow and not orange
@DenverHodlI've only been eating pasture raised eggs since I watched some of your older Videos over a year ago. And I eat lots of them lol. One thing seems weird: when I travelled to Germany and bought their best quality "Bio" eggs, the yolk is much lighter than in the US, almost like pale. That makes me think... do they add anything in this country to make them deep orange? Like farm raised salmon lol. If anything I would have expected to look the German "Bio" egg yolks look as dark as the US ones. Any thoughts/insights?
@TheMattconradsWhat's the difference between organic eggs or pasture raised eggs or is there a difference?
@lindahersco7638Eggs make me incredibly ill digestively, I am going to try organic from now on.
