Arcadia is a new analog horror series that’s gotten a little bit of traction recently, and it’s got to be the most underrated analog horror series I’ve ever come across. It follows a chain of bizarre events that occur in rural Alaska after a government experiment goes horrifically wrong. In this video, I explain the entire plot of Arcadia, covering all of its secrets, and giving my theories as to where this chilling internet horror series will go in the future.

Lol just watching the guy with the shotgun get a surprise visit and as soon as the shot fired youtube popped up with "we will be right back" 😂

— @ulragi

In recent years, there’ve been a lot of great new additions to the world of analog horror—from classics like Local 58 and the Mandela Catalog, to modern hits like Angel Hare, Vita Carnis, and Greylock. I genuinely believe that out of them all, Arcadia by Chilling Abyss is one of the finest and most fearsome series to ever hit the analog horror scene. With stunning visuals, fantastic writing, and an extremely unique premise, this series manages to create a world that is both deeply frightening, and frighteningly deep—so please, go check out Chilling Abyss’ channel and show him some love!

ACT 2

Honestly, this is a far better version of Dark Forest than one within our universe. There are a number of pretty brutal counterarguments to Dark Forest within our universe, such as "stealth is effectively impossible in space," "best defense is the deterrence of the threat of a good offense is standard geopolitics and there's no reason to believe other aliens wouldn't hold to this same logic," and more that are fairly universal in our universe by our universe's rules. Especially simply: "There are far better answers available for the Fermi Paradox." Isaac Arthur here on YT has many videos tackling this in great depth and I recommend going to him for a detailed breakdown for these. This, however, multi-versal Dark Forest, that's now feasible. Other universes, and the space between, is under no known reason to hold to this same logic/ruleset that makes it rather unfeasible here. There can be things that break our rules and make you better to be a quiet universe that stays in your lane.

I'm a sucker for Analglyph 3D stuff. What is that 3D game you keep showing in the background? And where can I play it?

Kinda weird how he missed that shot. Assuming the barrel is only positioned the way it is due to the recoil, that should have blown the things head off.

Just started the video and my first thought is, if I somehow encounter a mythical creature id begin negotiating like, can I request specific things? Can they come and sit down and talk would they like tea? How long do I have to make the choice? I already live in cryptid central would that affect how it would play out? What if an animal acknowledges the presence of these things?

I think Adam Labs only retrieved Ian to use him for experiments because he has this altered "blood" as well due to his contact with the fissure, they could have found out about it and took him because only people with this aberration can interact with the anomalies. We don't know when he was picked up by Adam Labs, so he could possibly have been living for a pretty long time on his own, as I think the alteration that affects him changes something about him physically as well, as this could explain how he survived the explosion. The conclusion that I drew from the experiment is that the entity is the abyssal John Walker, which I would think means that everyone at the ground zero site was altered and affected by the abyss in possibly different ways, and Ian was the only "lucky" one to obtain an alteration that made him live, while the others either died in the explosion or, in the case of John Walker, got pulled into the abyss.

If I’m not mistaken the plot of this is pretty similar to the three body problem where earth reaches out to space and another world responded, where it differs is that they haven’t reached out to an even more extreme civilization yet

I think the action of contacting the parallel universe the corrupted one was created and like a virus it just kept recreating itself. The parallel universe was based on ours. So really there was only ever one reality. We created one when we went looking for another. This created a cycle of corruption based on our reality. Like a computer virus or a human virus it just kept repeating itself until there was nothing but corruption. It all happens in the 80s because it represents the closest point to our own now before frivolous pursuits corrupted all society.

My theory in 1:47:04 is the entity, is the same one from the parallel universe 2 who sended those pictures of a dead nature, dead dog, ect. The entity has changed form, lost its humanity whatever when the bridges connected together or it happened before. Now the entity has stabilised itself in that computer game. And i think the smiley face broadcast is from that same entity in the game because it's the only entity that is in an electric. I am sure the Adam labs haven't found it before, so the entity broadcasted the hello world through television signals all through northern Alaska.
