I recently got a small amount of liquid into the top of the Apple Siri Remote. A day later the battery was dead, and it turns out that a bit of water completely destroyed the battery meaning it had to be charged once a day. After about 2 months, the touchpad is also now dead!
This video is me unboxing the replacement, but it's mainly an excuse for me to have a moan about the worst remote control design in history.
That was a really angry review Torsten! Had me in stitches in some places - thanks for that. I'm as shocked and disappointed as you are that the remote is not waterproof. My main complaint about the remote has always been that it is not covered in "grippy" plastic in the first place and I could not suffer to use it without a silicone case. Now the once-beautiful remote is bulky - aghhhhhhhhh! At least it is re-chargeable, unlike other remotes.
