2:14 I'm sorry but I'll never use edge, I actively avoid using it at all costs, just 2 months ago when I had to reinstall windows 11 (this is the 3rd time I've had to reinstall kind of tells you how ai slop never helps) instead of opening edge I used christitus's tool by writing down the command from the brave browser on my phone and the very first option I chose was to uninstall that ai slop. Edge is just Chrome still many times worse than Chrome (I get it brave runs on chromium but last I checked it doesn't slow my computer down it doesn't save a 2gb ai file and Im not constantly shoved with ads on my face sure brave has ai too but its much more convenient than the one on chrome it actually shows me sources I can just access and it loads faster)

Google, Apple, Microsoft... Palantir? - It doesn't matter. They're all private companies, served our data, either from us or someone else.
In the end, one way or another, this data will be used to make them even more powerful, generally by optimization of habits and human nature.
Governments have the same interest, as long as we live in a capitalistic society. In the end, it's all about money and power.

Yesterday I deleted my socials, and plan to start moving to GrapheneOS with an iphone on the side. I trust Apple more than Google, but that isn't exactly a high bar...
Chapter Titles:

Digital ID is the Governments spying way if making Privacy impossible
1:07 My Browser History
3:07 MOVA
You guys can turn some of this off in your Google dashboard and turn on auto delete for this stuff.
4:20 Google Runs the Internet
9:02 The Archive
The key is to segment things. E.g for me, I only use my Google account for YouTube and Gemini; mail, notes, maps, photos, etc., are elsewhere.
Also, the same is true for Xbox. Even if you use Microsoft services, I’d strongly suggest having an Xbox Microsoft account and an everything else Microsoft account.
ALSO, don’t use Google Chrome or, worse, Edge— lol, worst browsers for privacy. Use, Brave, valvidi, or Safari.

I haven't started your video yet... but why would you think I trust Google???
@jaynedowe966Watching this recommended to me on YouTube is … interesting to say the least lol
@shenglong3064The amount of information you give to Google by using Android is terrifying. I use iPhone, but I am not arguing to use iPhone. You can still essentially stay in the Android ecosystem but do it without handing off your location, health data, habits and life to Google by just investing a bit of time to load another Android-compatible OS on your phone like Graphene. You can run all Android apps and even still use Google services, but in a cut-off sandbox that won't let them gather your data
@dacypher22Chrome free since 2017, Firefox has its issues sure but it's been my go to browser for everything since then and all the plug-ins and it's Pc to phone sync is very useful to me.
@Ddot5kyI worked in IT for 25 years and I still cringe at tech YouTubers who don't seem to care about privacy. It might be because they are public figures with accounts on all the platforms in order to reach as many potential donors, err, I mean, followers, as possible. And how can they hide in the first place. But it's not just public techies who seem to ignore the value of personal security. It's tech in general. Maybe they believe that because they work in tech that they are immune to its dangers.
@danmar007Who's we?
@Cale_LS4I subscribed because of this video
@exppa_comI used Firefox since 2010 i always found Chrome annoying idk why but it bothered me then bought iphone 4 i found ios empty but usable then switched to samsung android is so much superior and fun i don't keep history and i dont use most of the apps google provide
@Issam_Gamer2I still use Chrome on mobile but Firefox on desktop.
@TheOnlyNameThe problem is that all these information can be used against you if you are for example a politically activ person advocating for a more fairly distriputed wealth or smth like that
@DoktorIntFelixHonestly everyone should just switch to firefox with qwant search engine. I've been using it for years and it works great. For emails I'm very gradually switching to Proton Mail. The biggest problem is with Google maps and YouTube 😭
@bytemosery4946Well, I use most google things, but google chrome? Naaah, I'm fateful to my dear firefox
@AngyWillAs a normal user, Google maps helps me find my direction, Drive helps me store my files, Photos helps me store memories, Search helps me find some answers (now Gemini) Chrome helps me browse websites etc; just to name a few. Oh yeah, YouTube Premium / Google One.
@IANBHDI don’t trust google. I’ve been trying to degoogle myself for years. Unfortunately, YouTube is a problem that has no alternative.
@josephknudsen2593WE DON'T HAVE MUCH OF A CHOICE, MAYBE THE NEW NOKIA CAN GIVE THEM A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY
@NBascombeI looked into Proton's products, but my decision not to use Proton was because it wasn't as integrated into everything as Google is. So even when looking for a better alternative, Google wins by default
@AlienRobotPirateNinja0:08 I did
@CrypticDaemonThe saved voice recordings is possibly the scariest part of this video, and it's why I unplugged my Alexa after New Years and have always refused to turn on the Samsung version of Siri on my phone. The idea that a machine is always scanning the room to hear its name and then saving everything AFTER its name is horrifying to me.
Hopefully soon I'll find a way to disconnect even more from these monopolies. Google Drive and Docs are my buggest challenges at the moment.
never started using chrome never will
@llFlopI swapped off on chrome then went Opera after seeing performance degradation. Opera started updating their browser and it made my shows look blurry. I tried Firefox as an alternative to test to see if it was better than chromium. 1) Firefox worked faster and more efficiently than any chromium browser I used 2) my shows looked great so I decided to swap. There are a handful of websites that don’t work on Firefox very well if at all so I do keep chrome around. I found all my extensions work perfectly fine especially adblockers. It’s not to say Firefox is perfect my any means either however, with how they tried to force ai integration and at that same time start pushing user data collection were definitely turn offs.
@CaanrielWho's " We "???...........
@DukeRowdyTvfirefox is my go to browser still
@rohitrohitrohit2We don't?
We begrudgingly use it anyway...
We dont hence why thousands are selling there samsung devices. I been a loyal customer since the g 600 and now despise samsung as allowing google on there phones lacks all intelligence. Google cant even find the correct name for there ai as there own search engine has waaaay too much misinformation on everything including astrology. Gemini = lower mind basic functions money orientation trickery and greed.. had they researched for more than 2 minits it would have been called somthing else
@JayPar-b1d9tI don't. But aslong as my banking apps only work on google android or iOS I'm stuck with this...
@WaechterDerNachtI can't hear it
@ashazalzamanBro google buy youtube
@rimkeviciukasweirdo
@miku9:50 furries mentioned 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@bamslyworksI would give my soul to Google if I only could. No one has ever given me a valid reason not to give all my data to Google—a privacy that leads to nothing and a massive effort to remain 'anonymous,' as if in this world you weren't forced to own a phone to live. Progress is inevitable, and among all the companies I could give my data to, the most valid and secure is Google, which with its monopoly brings a lot of scientific discoveries and funds research on which our future and health are based. Then there's this thing about being against AI just because 'AI is slop'... it makes no sense, but it doesn't matter how much people dislike it, in the future it will become the norm.
@emanueledolcini4617"WhO iS wE??" -The person posting from a Google account.
@AnywhereCityElvisAustin files
@HynekSmid99I use Chrome in the form of Cromite. Slightly older than latest Chrome, but it has built-in adblocker. And IronFox for Firefox alternative.
@r.Ry4N.05"Eating RAM like it's going out of style"
Yeah about that...
The only Google app on my phone is YouTube and gmail
@nomp6903it's simple I don't have mailing service
@Bandit-is8ziwe? who's we? the only google products i use are youtube and maps
@daniexisde564I've notice in my 60 yrs. people like to be led. Whether it's religion, a political leader or google. They like to have someone in charge so they don't have to.
@ZEZERBINGI gave Microsoft without noticing
@memes202-f2xIt is what it is. Lifes too short to be worrying about this. No matter where you go on the internet the same thing will follow.
@tahmid-12I dont have anything against Mozilla taking money from Google for default search engine on Firefox. I use Google all the time but I am very aware I can change the search engine any time and in other subjects I trust Firefox more than Chrome.
