That fight should NOT have been Stopped for Wardley vs Parker! Parker was bobbing and Weaving & had his hands up protecting himself! That was a Huge loss on his record that shouldn't be there. Who Knows Who Really would have won!?!? But Wardley deservingly gets it. Wardley did fight Very well. Probably should fight Itauma next? 🥊🥊🥊

Parker getting stopped was a total referee bad call typical in boxing. It was a bad stoppage. That ref is well known for it.

Wardley lands a pretty clean right hook to the body.

Misses a halfhearted left hook and a follow up right cross.

Throws a looping overhand that misses badly.

Throws a left hook that glances off of Parker’s guard.

Lands a glancing uppercut that barely clips the chin of Parker. Usually, these shots either turn the lights off or do almost nothing. This shot appeared to have the latter effect.

Immediately follows the uppercut with a left hook/straight right combination, missing with both shots. The hook partially lands, but only after being squarely deflected off Parker’s glove.

Throws a left hook with no real intention, pulling the punch midway in favor of a defensive posture to initiate a clinch with the lunging Parker, who is now coming forward off the ropes.

LANDS A CLEAN RIGHT HAND AFTER SEPARATING.

Parker, who appears both a bit hurt and exhausted, retreats back to the ropes. He appears a bit rocked, but still completely present, clear-eyed, and able to time his defensive movements well.

Wardley enters the pocket with a wildly lunging uppercut that glances harmlessly off the outside of Parker’s guard.

Follows up with a left hook that lands on Parker’s high guard, his forearm taking all the power out of the shot before barely skimming Parker’s cheek as he rolls with the shot.

Parker alertly throws his gloves up in a high guard with palms facing out, skillfully parrying a hard right hand and completely nullifying it.

THE REF HAS “SEEN ENOUGH” AND STEPS IN TO STOP THE FIGHT. 🤨😑😬

If you were only able to read the words above and had no access to view the fight, I would think most people would wonder why in the world the fight was stopped at that particular moment.

There were three shots thrown after the last significant blow landed, and ALL THREE were intelligently defended, yet the referee decided that the fight should be stopped.

NOT when that right hand landed and sent Parker to the ropes, but after he successfully defended multiple follow-up punches! 🤔



Situations like this are extremely harmful to a sport that is working to cleanse itself from the stain of corruption. A parasitic drain on boxing for ages, it seems like it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. As long as big money is involved, people will always be for sale.

Itauma’s speed and precision are extremely impressive and rare for a heavyweight, especially one his age. Future unified champion at least.

Itauma is the smoothest moving HW prospect I’ve seen in quite some time. Especially for a guy who hasn’t moved up to HW, but started there. Moves like a MW-LHW. And has significant pop to boot. Unfair. 😂

2025 proved boxing still lives through heart and fearlessness not just hype. From Chisora grinding out veteran wins to freshmen like Mason seizing titles, surprised David Benavidez isn't on this video. Although this year reminded fans that grit and timing matter as much as power.
