When you walk on the steps you can see it bow down. I think your stone or slate is going to crack.

Consider slate for the stairs, as it will not let you slide when it is wet.

Jordan, I've been a building inspector for a long time. I noticed your using stud for the top and bottom plates. My suggestion is to use a bottom and top track that the studs fit into. Then you can weld the studs to the track. Look up track and stud assembly if you don't understand.

Oh the highs and lows of life. Whew.

Kaylee is right, Jordan - don't plan on breaking down as you age. I was in good shape until a major foot injury at age 56, for over a year I could barely hobble, I gained 30 pounds and lost the ability to do simple things such as stand on my tip-toes, step up onto a chair, squat down to grab things from a bottom shelf, sit cross-legged, jump, (etc.) I was sluggish, weak and miserable, and life felt like a struggle. I knew I had to get back in shape and then I got really serious about it at the start of 2025. I got it all back (and more) and now at age 62 I just went paddleboarding with my son a few days ago and it was great! Being in shape feels SOOOO much better (plus I'm now shooting for getting even stronger than before the injury).

Forgot to tell y'all how impressed I am with the stairs. I know 1st hand what a headache it can be . When I was in 8th grade our family of 5 kids Mom Dad and my Dad's little brother built our house a 3 story A-frame . My uncle was a journeyman welder who worked for Brown and Root he worked all over the world . Well our family voted on what type of staircase to have in our new home we choose a spiral staircase . There were no plans. My uncle sit down with pencil and paper and draw out the plan . We got so many compliments on the staircase . That was built over 50 years ago it's just as beautiful as the day we put the black paint on it . My parents and my uncle died many years ago and we sold the house after my Dad passed away with all of us grown and living our on lives it was to much house for our Mom . The 2 of y'all are just amazing people raising an amazing daughter ,hats off to y'all . Always keeping y'all in my prayers and sending good vibes too .

I love the fact y'all are teaching the daughter that nothing is free and life isn't always fair, sometimes if you want something you have to work . I know she is going to be a strong independent young woman yet she will love with her whole heart . It makes my heart smile when I see that ladybug look up at the 2 of y'all and she is smiling ear to ear . There is no doubt in my mind she is going to be an amazing woman one day because her parents are 2 amazing people .

I have never been a coffee drinker and I'm a 63-year-old single woman, but I'm considering some of your extra delicious coffees I might try in the near future when I can afford it after I'm done, helping take care of my bedridden mother on a 0 income. We'll see what life brings in the future Amen.❤❤❤
