I think about the 2014 World Cup, when my team won!

i met one of the best friends i’ve ever had in rehab in summer 2014. we did 3 months in rehab, then 6 months in a halfway house together, and then lived in an apartment together for almost a year til he went back to jail 😢 we maintained our friendship through true 1.5 years he was in prison, and the 3 years after he got out until he passed away in 2021. sometimes i listen to 2014 songs because it reminds me so much of him. i was 18, never had left the ghetto PA city i had lived in my whole life, and was terrified to be going to a rehab that was halfway across the state, 4.5 hours away from where i lived, and he helped me so much in getting acclimated because he had done the whole rehab thing before. RIP Kyle, i miss you so much, and i’m so grateful to have met you. (Blame It On The Night, All About That Bass by meghan trainor , Heroes by Tove Lo, and Hideaway by Kiesza were the songs we would get the most excited about coming onto the radio)

for the record, rehab is actually fun as fuck & i’ve met some of my best friends to this day in rehabs. White Deer Run in Allenwood, PA is the best one i’ve ever been to, tho. Pyramid in Altoona, Pa used to be really nice but it’s gone downhill so bad. i’ve made some good memories in those facilities
