My boxer (the runt of the litter. Which are the BEST) was the most obedient dog i have ever seen. Remarkable, actually. He knew everyone in the family’s names and which room was their’s. And would try and talk to you if you talked to him, like my parent’s german shepherd. He was a flashy brindle, and i would get people trying to buy him from me all the time. I wouldn’t take any amount of money for him, he was amazing. My best buddy. My first pet of my own, which i got in 2012 to help me stay positive as i got clean from drugs. He followed me everywhere and did everything with me, all without a leash. He would just follow me out to the truck, and only use his leash when he needed it for a public establishment. 10/10 breed. Next on my list is a pug or boston terrier. But will always take a boxer❤
If you are disabled, like i am, and have trouble getting around to socialize, a boxer will keep you better company than 99.9% of humans.

To be clearer, the boxer dog prior to the 1880s WAS used for bullbaiting, and they were made mellower by introducing English bulldog and thus creating the modern boxer and THAT dog was NOT used as a bull baiter. Still, given the right blood line the Boxer is as formidable of animal fighter as they ever were. I know a couple of sorry pit bulls that wanted to challenge my 95 lb intact male boxer while we have been out walking. Bad mistake on the pits part.

Boxers were never used as bulldogs. Boxers were bred at around the time that bullbaiting, dog fighting and bear baiting were made illegal throughout Europe. That is why, contrary to the false statement that the boxer was not game enough for bullbaiting, boxers were bred with English bulldogs to help make them lass game and more suitable for being a working dog and pet.
Boxers DO NOT fight with their paws. That is play behavior. When boxers fight- look out! Unless you are a 100 lb pit bull, the boxer will kill you pretty quick. Look it up.
And also, boxers are called boxers because they were used for centuries as all purpose animal fighters, IE boxers ; professional fighters. Look it up.
$$ Super Thanks to keep me going!!! $$
BOXER DOGS:
funnest and cutest dogs ever..on my second one..
Muscular, deep chested, energetic, silly but loyal and, friendly describes the Boxer dog!
Boxer dogs are in the top 10 most popular family dog breeds to own!
What breed is also very friendly and playful, but has normal breathing (isn't bothered by heat)?
Medium size.
I really, really like Boxers, but where I live, the summers are very hot.
The Boxer dogs were imported to the USA after World War 1 and it wasn’t until the 1940s that they became one of the most popular family dog breeds!
Boxers originated in Germany in the 19th centrury where they are descendants of the extinct bullenbaiser breeds crossed with mastiffs, bulldogs and possibly great danes and even some terriers. They were originally used as bull bating dogs, however their will to fight wasn’t enough for the ring and they later became known as butchers helpers and controlled slaughterhouse cattle in Germany.
It's a crime they don't have longer lifespans. I had a boxer mix that I rescued. She was wonderful.
Boxers are a HIGH ENERGY DOG!
The Boxer dogs are a large breed in the “Working dog breed group” and weight 50 to 80 lbs. They were first used as police dogs in America and later became more popular to use as family guard dogs since they are intimidating but have a reputation of being friendly and good with kids unlike other mastiff and bully breeds. Another factor that made them unfit for police work is their brachecephalic or squished face causing them to have difficulty breathing in heat or working for long periods of time. They need a cool environment or an AC house to be comfortable.
there is only thing to know, boxer are humanlike, goofy but very intelligent. simply the best fren anybody can have......
The boxer dog has a distinct square strong build and chiseled elegant head. They come in 2 show colors which are the Classic Fawn and Brindle boxers which can have sparse white markings that appear on the face where white may replace part of the otherwise essential black mask and may extend in an upward path between the eyes, but it must not be excessive so as to distract from the true boxer expression.
Boxers however do come in a wide variety of other colors that are not show quality such as seal brindle, reverse brindle, flashy brindle with more white, and mis-marked or party colored.
DO NOT take a boxer jogging. They can have a heart attack. They are sprinters, not distance runners. Both of ours would zoom around the yard ~3 times and then sleep the rest of the day.
They need to be worked, like obedience training or fetching, but not 40 minutes of aerobic exercise.
Boxer dogs are usually super friendly, happy go lucky dogs that love giving kisses, however they are not clean dogs. They do have a sleek short hair coat that does shed excessively. They also have floopy lips that slobber a lot! You may come across a few that slobber less than others but it’s a gamble who will slobber more when getting a puppy! Just expect them all to give lots of Slobbery kisses if you get one!
As for barking, your boxer dog is not an excessive barker and should only bark if there is an intruder around.
Yep, @finleyjack has proof that Boxers are energetic, enthusiastic, and full of LOVE! Check him out! Thanks for sharing!
Over all, Boxers are very affectionate and smart dogs that love companionship and cuddles on the cough. They are a needy large breed dog that is not independent. They are easy to train and most people who have boxer dogs absolutely love them!
Their lifespan is 8 to 10 years and they do have a list of health issues, which I’ve made another video about on my channel!
And I think it's important to know that they can't handle extreme temperatures very well, too cold and they need to be in teh shade and a coat if teh weather is too cold. And they need a lot of water and you need to take care that they eat slowly, best is not dry food as they tend to wolf down thir food and there is a high risk of gastric torsion
Alright guys! I hope you loved this video on Boxer dogs!
DR. LINDSAY BUTZER
Greatest dogs ever. Only one downside: a lifespan that is way too short. Aside from that, they are incredible in every way.

You need a decent-sized bed. If you don't know why, get yourself a boxer, and you learn quickly.

@CynthiaScholeno-v2cI have my first boxer. She's 3 years old and I love her like I've never loved anything or anyone.

@RealChinoo3xBest breed ever❤❤❤
@Vic92271my favorite
@zillsburyy1My Boxer wiggled around like that. I called it the Butter Biscuit dance (that was his name). He Butter Biscuit danced for everyone 😊. He and my Pitbull were both jealous about my lap and they had a contest in who could get into it first when I sat down. The loser would pout. It was so sweet. I miss them both every day 😢
@JaneDeaux-p4iOur little brindled rascal Buddy 💖 was with us 3 months short of 15 years and stayed a little pup all his live, goofy, hyper energetic, a real wiggle machine and so very loving and loyal. Only the last year or so he slowed down because he suddenly developed a health issue. He didn't drool which the vet put down to my homecooked special dog-meatloaf 😉. He was one of a kind, not to be replaced and still missed. Boxers are simply the absolute #1 among dogs! RIP little Bud-Bud 🙏 and wait for us!
@ESO529-w5iI had a white Boxer come to my porch , that was dumped out on my county road . He is a 80 pound male . He gets along with all the local dogs . He is loose on 16 acres , with my Border Collie Husky mix .
@josephmclennan1229Im still looking for a boxer puppy and can't find one yet.
@Terica0088-10 years just isn't enough time. My favorite dog in my lifetime was my boxer and heeler mutt mix. Way too smart. They have heart issues 😞
@zolpi78I owned one and they are the greatest !
@MrSaro1986I had a boxer mix growing up & he was the best dog I have ever had. Boy was he athletic, smart, & so friendly. I would love to have another one. Though I would not get a purebred because I think breeding brachycephalic dogs (or cats) on purpose is cruel & dumb. Let them have a normal face & breath well.
Since mine was a mixed breed he didn't have a slobber problem because his lips fit his face properly.
Ahhh Gisele was the name of our dog that just passed in Jan. She was a Border Collie x Siberian Husky, she lived to be 12 yrs.
@Louvenoire05Two sweethearts
@matthiasgebhard3135Me to

@per-mortenevensen941I like dogs more than humans. lol. Our Boxer is such an important part of our family. He expects to be included in all family functions :)
@kenr.3484I had a boxer who lived 14years, 4 month and 10 days. I lost Cora in november 2o24. Now I am looking forward to another boxerbaby. I had 3 boxers in my life. Absolutly BEST dogs.
@DanielPotucekWhen GOD said let there be dog A BOXER appeared
@randysteele4316I got three. Two of them are CKC registered. The other one is a rescue. How people can do the things they do to animals is sickening
@texasgrapevine311Believe it or not my boxer is 15 years old!
@JiraiyaJaJuice-dp8klThey get a lot bigger than 80 lbs. One of my previous boxers (male, obviously) was 105 lbs., and I currently have two boxers (both males from the same litter, but unrelated to the 105 lb. one) who are over 90 lbs. Yes, they get plenty of exercise (we have an always-open doggy door to a 2/3 acre backyard in which they run around all day and a pool in which they both swim).
@reaxionsFirst thing, dock the tail!
@jamescrydeman540I'm not really a dog person, but I completely loved the boxer my friend had. I think she knew I wasnt a dog person and decided to change me, honestly such a nice dog, made me fall in love with her excellent nature.
@Brian-ph3zjHis name hank but we call him hankeroni
@kevinfazzio1559I have one
@kevinfazzio1559Super insightful and bright 😊
@DanielTippett-q1fYou have to as 🤪 as a Boxer to own one. Lol.
@neil999ishFantastic dogs but man do they fart!
@Golfer-rn7lhIn the late 90's through 2010, my wife, daughter and I owned several Boxers. They loved any kid they met and would protect them in an instant, especially our daughter. I trusted our dogs with kids in our neighborhood without supervision. Our Boxers were easy to train, incredibly obedient, at times stubborn as a mule, and the clowns of the dog world. They were amazing, and I miss them every day. New subscriber.
@williammatthews2948Beautiful couple, you can tell they’re fully bonded and best friends.
@budlover7703I never want another dog breed again after getting a boxer. OMG! Boxers are soooooo sweet and so cute and loving and demanding😍
