Nashville natives just moved out of there after 60 years. Best thing and timing I ever done. The roads and interstates might harm your car. You will love the four seasons in Nashville. Plenty of liquor stores, bars on Broadway, hospitals and colleges. Bad, bad public schools. I have not seen the southern hospitality there you are talking about. It is so Country and you will start talking like us. Mainly, country night clubs for fans of that type of music. BB King club downtown is gone and most blacks enjoyed the good food and music. We have lots of professional sport teams. Traffic is horrible. I am not missing Nashville at all. Some call it East LA or mini Las Vegas on Broadway due to the high crime and Honky Tonk clubs. Increases Sales, property and sin taxes make-up for no state taxes. Number 1 reason to there is jobs. The city gives the Corporations tax incentives and the law make it hard to file a lawsuit against them. It is a good-o-boys system there too.

Coming from NYC - Nashville is a major upgrade! The humidity might be a challenge (I hate summer ). But the trade off is totally worth it !!

Already got enough of these mutli-level apartment/condo buildings going up, especially where there were once more picturesque communities getting these things going up next door like they're tumors or something. Certainly don't need any more of these, and while I don't know how much longer I'll be living in TN myself (lived here most of my life), there are some things I won't be missing. Also how in the world do people come here expecting to go to a beach? XD Spot on list though!
