I enjoyed Brimstone, my parents not so much… but it kept my attention the entire time. Very depressing but one of the better movies I’ve seen in quite a while.

For some reason, Venus doesn't have English Subtitles for me, and my Spanish isn't good enough to follow. It only has Spanish subtitles. 🤷‍♂ Anybody else have this issue?

Just finished watching Angel Maker, and that was a good one. Ty, KB. On to the next.

My favorite part as someone who works in IT [teeny, tiny, spoiler warning]:

When Laura finds out that her partner had been plugging in the SD cards into his work laptop that's on the police network, and she loses her shit because everyone's computers have now been RATed. "Don't plug random things into your f'king computers!!!" 🤣 There's a surprising amount of successful espionage that's done exactly that way. Infiltrators will drop random USB drives or SD cards on the ground near a target company/person, and just wait to see if someone is just dumb enough to plug it in to their laptop to see what's on it.... aaaand, your computer is now pwned.

I almost forgot that there are 2 movies on Tubi that just watched that are fantastic. I know you covered them both before but I finally saw In My Skin. Fuck me, that slaps. Love grotesqueness and body horror. Also watched straight on til morning. Didn't break any ground but it was fantastic, also love final girl movies ❤

Too much horror, not enough time. I've only seen The Void, off this list, which is ONE of the better horror films I've seen. Some of these others look good too. I like foreign horror and independent stuff, because they don't have to follow the lame rules of Hollywood. Thanks for watching these and reveiwing them. I gotta get busy watching now.

Does that eye hang down piercing get in your way of seeing.

If i recall correctly, Criminal Minds actually had an episode with a serial killer named the Angel Maker.
I believe his MO was puncturing a star constellation into his victims' bodies with an ice pick.

@remc0s

The north witch needed to be on this list.

The Void is still my favorite horror movie. So damn good

@bradfoster8146

Hey Kainan,
My spouse and I just watched Thinestra on Tubi.

It was pretty good as an exploration of hody dismorphia in light of people's worries about GLP1 based medicines. It has some thought provoking writing, good practical effects, a few good kills, and great performances.

The writer also wrote the Sean William Scott serial killer movie "Bloodline".

You are not on an island with Tomorrow War. I love it for the same reasons you do. In fact you contain my tastes in film probably 98%. You are my most trusted film critic.

@nixvivivi

Braid never gets talked about and its awsome😊😊😊

@markolson6530
@

Thanx again excellent as usual😊😊😊

@markolson6530

Kainan always giving me something to watch on my saturday night!
Ive been wondering if you've ever seen/talked about The Treatment (2014)? Belgian crime thriller with one of the bleakest endings Ive ever seen. It is seriously twisted (right up there with Speak No Evil and Brimstone) but very well done and I never hear anyone talk about it!

@Hatski319
@

There's a Danish series on Netflix that was pretty gruesome as well. It's called The Chestnut Man. Serial killer thriller. I still think about it years after watching. They definitely went there !!

@robinstarkey6071

You’re a braver man than I Gunga Din. I pass on all except Brimstone, which I recognized immediately for what it was. As a Boomer my video fare started with the Universal Monsters and developed with fear of the unknown. Now I’m fascinated by found footage and Mike Flanagan productions. Will check out your previous content.

The Void is awesome!!

No way! I'm watching dream eater atm. (Stopped to do some dishes). Gonna finish watching it then come back to your recommendations! Thanks!
