This song makes me long for a childhood I wish I had. My mom and dad divorced when I was 4, I ended up in the custody of my mother, and we didn't have it easy, bouncing from house to house, my mom working 4 jobs just to feed me and my sister, I was never happy, there were times where I thought of ending it all because it felt hopeless, it didn't help that my father was in and out of jail. I've cried myself to sleep due to this. But I'm better now. I'm 19 now, looking for a full time job, got my liscense, a car, and stable housing.

It was back in 2013, me and my wife had been trying to save or marriage for about a year. 90 to 95% was my fualt just to make things clear. We got kn a plan to to out at least once a month or twice to spend time together etc..that date night we just drove around talking with no where really to goand our 2 kids in the back sit my son was 5 and daughter was 2 about to be 3 in a few months. We stopped at this Chinese Buffet place in Elkin or Janesville, North Carolina.. My wife said Hey let get something from there since we've never ate there ,plus it was kinda late. I was habing one of my bad days, meaning me dealing with my "depression" which I tried very hard to keep a serect because not most people believe or understand it etc..my wife went inside the Chinese Buffet, I stayed in the car, I fled the radio stations an a country song by a singer I dont know the name of was just finishing and then this song started to play, I had not heard it before that night but I keep it on the radio and I truly can say that I cryed half way thru the song and even after it finished playing..nor my wife or kids or any else saw me, also I didnt tell anyone but I broke down to cry and cried very hard there sitting in our car. I knew then at that moment that my marriage was over and that the person I very much loved for so many years...didnt love me anymore and that us trying by going out and spending time together was just putting off the one if the worst days of my life🥺I think we both knew it was coming but didnt believe it could really happen, at least not to us because for us we only saw break up and divorcing in movie's and friends etc. But never cojld it happen to us but it did..what ever Love that grew in us had slowly gone from us or from my wife, because for me I least Loved her so much or at least thats what I wanted to feel and say to her and everyone else...a couple molater my wife left me on a Saturday morning around 7:30 or so, it was May 5th...I miss her, I miss the family we had before our Love left without us knowing..she's been in a relationship now for a while which is good because If I couldnt make her happy hopefully someone else can do things right and not make the mistakes I did or we did. We dont talk anymore unless it has to do with our kids and even then its a minimum talk through messages. So that and more is left to say when I hear "Colder Weather" because I too am stuck in colder weather still...😐 its 4:52 a.m. right now

Tonight went to a Business After Hours with our local Chamber.

Twenty some odd years ago I had a male friend (didn't date him, or get involved) I knew from a young adult group that we met at & attended. We liked each other & were pals.
A few years into that, I had to leave town, then some years later, left the county.

I recently got the fellas contact info, & in the last few weeks we've been talking again.

I invited him to this Chamber thing. He didn't get to come, had work obligations. Understandable! And the commute is a bit long between where he lives & where I do, a few counties away...

Anywho the singer at this thing played this tune 🥰🥺🥹💕 so it goes out to my friend back home 🎶
