If I was to talk about the words
I work in veterinary medicine and this is exactly what every day is like. One room you have a euthanasia and the other room you have a new puppy visit. You watch people walk up to pay to euthanize their pet and behind them is a lobby full of people waiting to get on with their day. Complaining about having to leave their pet for a few hours. Not realizing how lucky it is to just be apart for a few hours vs saying a final goodbye.
In vet-med it all happens in one place by the same team. Usually young people too.
It’s crushing when the person paying for a euthanasia wants nothing more than for the world to freeze. And behind them is persistent people rushing and rushing in a hurry to get on with their own appointments.
The helplessness the emotional overflow and overload is really what speaks to me in this song as someone who has worked in the field for 15 plus years it’s a hard video to look at and realize it’s me .

Ive been a nurse for almost 30 yrs in 2017 i retired feom nursing. Everybody ask me all the time why i dont work as a nurse anymore. I tell them i got burnt out. They cant grasp y i would give up making the money i was making as a nurse. But they dont understand the life of a nurse. Its a thankless job. And i honest to God feel that the human brain is not suppose to go thru as much trauma amd stress that nurses go thru. Ive seen way more ppl pass away than any person should c. And if it doesnt break ur heart everytime u c that ur not human. I want to thank Dom for this video it is so close to reality its scary. The song is amazing.

@Mrs.austin512I’ve always loved this song and listen to it constantly, but I never actually watched the video. Wow. That just took it to a whole new level, especially being in healthcare myself. Especially the part where the guy comes up to her and just loses it because the girl is going in the room without him, and she starts to break for just a second, but she has to hold it in and be strong for him really touched me. I have gone through so many similar experiences. Wow this is so powerful
