What sucks as I was in the middle of finishing the campaign of Call of Duty® six, before starting 7, and since I downgraded my ultimate, I no longer have access to any of the call or duties. I’ll just be buying games straight up at this point.

$20 Ultimate cards are still all over the place at my local retailers. No price increase for me until those all run out.

Interesting video but you’re not looking at the long term picture.

Gamepass is being increased to make it less desirable, xbox wants more box sales, subscriptions hasn’t been any good since the end of Covid, hence the move to get their games on nintendo switch and playstation.

I’d follow that route for predicting the future of gamepass not xbox.

I think Microsoft's plan is to 1) get out of the console hardware business and be fully 3rd party like Sega did - they've wanted to for a long time, & 2) end game pass - they've realised the model doesn't work but have so publicly backed it they can't just fold it. So their plan is like when someone wants to break up with a girlfriend but don't have the guts to do it, so they make life so intolerable the other person does the breaking up. Microsoft wants everything to collapse so they can write off the loss, go fully PC & 3rd party Playstation and Nintendo, then be able to blame the gamers and say "you all abandoned us so we've no choice....". The whole thing reeks of an exit strategy to me....

Just get a PC and you don't need a subscription. If you want a console like experience, install SteamOS on it and you can play it with a controller on your TV.

I dont understand, is xbox forcing a yearly subscription? Ive always enjoyed and taken advantage of gamepass and their rewards. I buy the games i want, physically and digitally, when i want...fresh or i wait for sales. And ive always said, take advantage of what companies offer and let those services be to YOU what worth YOU deem it to be. Most of you that are complaining and crying about the price hike are grown men that "should" have their ducks in order, i understand these are hard times but truthfully i bet, most of you here and complaining, more often than not buy the games you wanna buy. Im not the only one here with hundreds of digital games and hundreds of physical games, so whats the problem...get off Ultimate if its too expensive and play your backlog and start purchasing again, on sale or fresh new games. Nothing nowadays entitles you to any "free" or cheap service. Dont like it, dont buy it...send YOUR message.

I pay for Ultimate and Fortnite Crew so it is kinda worth it for me but its a niche thing. If they add GTA+ with Fortnite that would make be crazy worth it. I might just stop having recurring bill and down grade $10 a month or maybe just skip it entirely

I got a W thank God I wanted to preorder the expensive version of battlefield 6 and I didn't have enough money so what I did was get EA access than bought the battlefield 6 standard edition and then I cancelled the EA subscription to get back $6.?? Change and then upgrade to the phantom edition for $32.?? Now I'm glad I got what I wanted. Heads up I didn't have the correct amount but in the end I still got what I wanted I'm so happy
