Let's be real. We all know why the cops arrested Amber, and not him.

You're wrong about the police. I lived next door to Jamie in vegas. The swat team broke down my door and went through our attic when they took Ben into custody. The frustrating part was she didn't want to press charges!!! Thankfully the hospitals have mandatory report laws. Even now listening to her talk about him pisses me off. Funny to think being broke saved her life.

Police officers in America have the shortest police academy in the world and most of their time spent is handling firearms… it’s not wonder we always hear about them mismanaging sheet

@jenjoestar.of course Grandma Sally has a BF she is super cute and so photogenic … omg, keep listening Bec 😭
@rebeccaw6253Hearing that Amber was the one arrested for him beating her just blasted me back to my own IPV case in 2009 / 2010. I broke up with my boyfriend at the time, and he proceeded to stalk me for 3 weeks straight. He waited outside my house for HOURS while I was hanging out with a male friend, until I got home- then admitted he wanted to "crawl through the window and beat him for being with me". The last time I ever saw him, I made the mistake of slapping him across the face when he started calling me a whore and a slut. He left, but then called the cops and used a scratch on his neck to file a claim that I "attacked him" for "trying to confront me about an STD I gave him" (I have literally never had an STD in my life). I got charged with "Domestic Assault" despite the fact that we weren't together and hadn't even lived with one another. It was 8 months of grueling court nonsense and I eventually had to accept a plea deal for a guilty charge.
I talk about my own trauma online, and apparently it's "bragging about committing domestic violence", though. Even though this is SUCH a common outcome for IPV victims. No one wants to acknolwedge that abusers REGULARLY take advantage of the legal system to punish their victims.
I remember seeing a TikTok where it said something along the lines of “wait until you find out how many women victims of DV get arrested too” and all the comments were their mugshots with bruises and blood like bro this country really hates women
@dianar9446What in the absolute F?!?! I have my own experience when it comes to the legal system and becuase of that experience i dont trust them. But just like you Kennie, im steaming now too haah
@JFPandaBearHIS GRANDMA? WHAT DID HIS GRANDMA DO??????
@kumquattedWhat really pisses me off the most is all of these women saying they would never have dated this man if, but then they completely fall for this stupid guy and then they put up with his bullshit until someone gets hurt or dies. ladies, if you find out that the man you are dating has a screw loose, please stop falling in love immediately and RUN! My philosophy is I'd rather stay single forever than possibly meet a monster.
@SuperMichelleDJThe worst part is the police. True.
@raquelwinterI watched the „worst roommate ever“ documentary and the police never does anything right😭😭
Honestly, I noticed that with a lot of documentaries on Netflix
I hope that second woman sued the police department and everyone involved edit: she did! Good! It’s so sad how much law enforcement fail victims, they never do until a body shows up. it’s no wonder people take matters into their own hands.
@Lladyk95season 2 of this is out now!
@haleycarpenterEyeshadow brand?
@sleepnomore60656:27 AM I ALLOWED TO KINK SHAKE YET??
@Itsrainingcatsyall36:45 I am still baffled that someone would take a hitman gig for 200$
@Cheers.-That whole series had me ten toes hot. Especially the woman that served time for NOTHING!!
@LadyMystique540Cant lie with episode 2 I feel like the cops were being actively racist? Lets be 100% here, something had to be adding up but they ignore it, seriously racist and misogyny is at play and such.
@DaveFloatzelloverSimonI wouldn’t say the shows are bad cause I actually enjoy watching both worst roommate ever and worst ex ever but was making me mad. Was the damn law-enforcement and the system. Y’all can’t be this naïve locking up the wrong person and why this person ain’t staying in jail after the previous arrests
@lafayewales3302Eric’s story is so tragic man
@cenicerosssthis shouldn't be called the worst ex ever, it should be called watch the police and the american judicial system drop the ball over and over
@phyllismargretgaborI lost it when they arrested Amber! What is incompetence!?
@Bev4DrawingAt dis point. Police only good fa one thing. Clearin out donut boxes. Imagine how many people would be alive if they ACTUALLY did their job!🙄
@queenofsheba8948What is really infuriating is that none of these people are some criminal mastermind. They all pretty dumb.
@hypnoteapotWhenever people talk about going to the cops I remind them that the Supreme Court ruled cops have no duty to protect.
@ShimmyRambles22:32 NASSAU??? TOOOOO CLOSE
@bluerobo2Men like this never meet women like me. I dated one DV’r who hit me when we were out in a bar and I beat him so bad They called me the aggressor and had to watch surveillance footage to prove he started it.
@k.f.scales6410Tbh I think if I ever end up in this situation im going to Mexico I dont have family and my friends probably already killed him and chopped him into a million pieces so I need to be far far away anyway as my alibi 🤷🏻♀️
@beanythompson1460I wonder if they would've arrested rosa and her mom if they'd been men instead
@Elizard75You know… as I got older and delved more and more into true crime cases… I have found that the cases of domestic violence where the police don’t do anything… aren’t the ones that make me angrier. The ones that make me angrier is when one or two police officers actually do take the case of domestic violence very seriously, file all the paperwork, try to investigate… everything you think that they absolutely should do… and the Top Brass administrators including their own captain or chiefs tell them to drop the case!
I cannot express how many cases of murder I have heard over the years where at the very least one police officer is rightfully outraged and horrified by the stories of violence that the victim tells them… for them to actually try to do right by the victim… and they are brushed off, told to drop the case… or worse yet… threatened with the loss of their job or freedom! These aren’t just female cops either! They do this to male police officers! That’s just how broken the justice system for victims of all types are! They don’t even believe the men that you think they would listen to!
One such case I will never forget was the case of this beautiful young woman who was being abused by her fiancé, if memory serves. Horrifically beaten to the point where her face is completely battered. She goes to the station time and time again, usually they push her out the door and other times when she’s able to stand up for herself and ask them to at least write a report so that there is a paper trail, they don’t even write down any of the information properly and shoo her out the door. Apparently one such officer was a woman! But this woman not only gaslights her but also tries to blame her for what happened. She gets the police officer to write a report, only for the officer to throw the document away at some point.
The final time she went in was a male officer. They interviewed him about this case and he commented that he didn’t believe her story… at first because he was one of those police officers who believe that they are actually supposed to be there to serve the people and that there was no way that she had been in the department repeatedly and nothing was done. She told him to just look up her case after he wrote up a report for her. But he said that the last words she said was that she wouldn’t be back because she was probably going to die. He wrote the report but later on her words bugged him so much that he did look into her case. Every single written report was there.
But he said he hadn’t seen anything like it before. The reports were barely written, they were filled with a lot of dismissive language and things like that. He took the file to one of his bosses and tried to get them to actually investigate because he realized that her abuse was escalating and just like her… he thought she was going to end up dead. He was told that she was just over exaggerating and that no abuse was happening. Even after he showed the file to them, the reports, the pictures… he was told to drop it or face disciplinary action! He was stuck between a rock and a hard place but he never stopped thinking about her and worried for her safety.
This part is a little fuzzy but I think he did try and go to the house to talk with her but was turned away by no one answering the door and when he got back to the station, he was reprimanded for doing something outside of what he was told. I think it was… a few months… maybe less time. She was dead. I can’t remember how it happened or anything but what did burn itself into my mind was the police officer that was talking about what happened. He couldn’t even hold back his tears. He expressed regret for not pushing harder, for not going to her home when he felt that something bad was going to happen. They finally did investigate and arrest her boyfriend or whatever.
The police officer ended up quitting not long after. He said that he had always thought that police were supposed to be there to help victims and that was the first time he realized that wasn’t always the case especially with domestic violence victims and child touchers.
Even after the case was on the news… Top Brass said that they did what they were supposed to do or whatever.
That’s what I mean about the cases that anger me the most are the ones where a cop, maybe more, actually does want to help… but they are either told to drop the case or are punished for even attempting to bring someone to justice. Like… you would think that men carry more weight in these types of situations and the answer is no. It doesn’t matter if murder is going to take place… it doesn’t matter if they have a line of previous partners who suffered at their hands. The justice system still has the same archaic thought process that they had since their inception. Which isn’t even murderers will be brought to justice. The only type of case that they seem to care about involves drugs.
and may would come behind him and beathimwiddabatON
took me all the way out 🤣
@12:16 why does she look like the one girl from The rookie?
@TheSchism-y7pIf these docs don't make you say "ACAB" I dunno what will at this point. 😭
@ladyvictoria820I actually enjoyed "Worst Roommate Ever" in a trashy kind of way (I haven't watched Kennie JD's video on that yet because I felt like doing this in the wrong order I guess), but I looked at "Worst Ex Ever" and just knew it was going to be way too frustrating and upsetting for me to sit through.
Weird, creepy roommate stuff I can handle. Stories about relationship abuse I can't.
OUR SYSTEM SUPPORTS VIOLENT MEN!!!
@Cytc33i just back into netflix and have this on my watchlist lmao im glad i have your thoughts to hear before i decide to hate watch it or not hahaha currently cooking pasta at 3:42am an dim locked innnnnnn
@GarlicmoonchildA man sees something and does the right thing and says something, ends up in jail. Very cool, good work guys
@sirius1696I'm not surprised cops fumble these cases, when domestic violence rates done by police officers... Kinda tells a whole other story itself.
@violetsdenThey should have a unit dedicated to domestic violence
@JustToryAs a man married to woman, my heart breaks. Women truly are not protected in society. Just not right.
@VictoriousLyricI'm just so confused.. why did Rosa not one Eric to also have custody of the child? Why was it so bad? The fuck.
@arcadialolltears in my eyes rip grannie
