World’s Toughest Train Rides | India: Overcrowded and Unstoppable | Free Documentary

Video Overview & Insights

World’s Toughest Train Rides | India: Overcrowded and Unstoppable | Free Documentary

India's vast railway network, built by the British in the 19th century, played a critical role in both colonial trade and the country's fight for independence. Spanning 71,000 miles of track and connecting over 7,500 stations, the railways remain essential to India's economy and everyday life.
From overcrowded trains in the unbelievable heat to historic stations like Muzaffarpur and Lucknow, this journey reveals the challenges of train travel in India. Along the way, we uncover stories of resilience-from the Sepoy Rebellion and Gandhi's anti-colonial campaign to the horrors of Partition and the increasing demand for women-only carriages. The adventure concludes with a ride on the Kangra Valley Railway, to the Himalayas.

Perhaps, one of the pivotal reasons why the UK renounced India in 1947 after over 4 long century's colonization may seem to lie on the meaning of the following proverb, " What is bred in the bone will come out in the flesh. ",,,,To the contrary, China has been so amazingly advancing at an unprecedented rapid pace in 30+ short yrs or in almost mere one generation since 1980's when considered nearly equivalent w/ Europe's Medieval age in terms of the engineering technology in the constructions of infrastructures, train technology, military weapons, etc. in the sharp contrast to the former!,,,Anyone comply?.,,(11/14/25)

Why are Indians so keen to tell us how wonderful they think their country is when, at the earliest opportunity, they head en masse for the West?

12:00 you were actually travelling in an A/C coach and went for a few minutes to the general and sleeper class just to get a few vids. You didnt actually travel full time in either general or sleeper class even.

Indian men don't offer seats to their women, in san francisco tram a group of young indian tourists boarded, the men grabbed the seats, leaving the girls standing during the whole trip....oh my gulay ! what a culture!...shucks

What I don't get is why everyone is giving him blank stares wherever he goes. Like they've never seen a white person before. And even if they haven't, staring at someone so blatantly just shows that they lack basic manners.
