Chicago isn't all or most of Illinois for over 15 minutes so far just Chicago.

Peoria is also a crap hole city. Didn't find one good neighborhood in all of Peoria. It's all run down and nasty. I been all through Peoria.

Not a place you want to live to raise a family where normal things can happen and they can play outside out in front or back or safely walk around town. Cities are not for that small villages are.

Drug addicts so bad in Peoria they have their own version of the neighborhood watch for the police.

Too many damn eyes on you. Nothing good about Peoria.

Better if you go to Pekin. Smaller and more white people and while not safe everyone not nearly as bad as Peoria.

Shootings are w regular occurrence in Peoria.

The Illinois River is also much better in Pekin than Peoria because in Peoria the river beats you up in your boats more because the river gets more wide after you go through the locks to Peoria or if you put in at Peoria. So best to go to Pekin then down river where there is plenty of beaches.

If it's windy go to Pekin on the Illinois River and no Peoria.

Smog doesn't make Chicago look pretty. Fairly ugly and run down city to be honest with aging infrastructure.

The true wonder of Illinois is why is Illinois so corrupt and such a crappy State to live in?

There is more to Illinois than just Chicago and its surroundings. Downstate has quite a few areas of interest as well. Lincoln's boyhood home and Eastern Illinois University and Shawnee National Forest, to name a few. More interesting than Chicago

Should rename it "Wonders of Northern Illinois". It is impressive and I'm glad for that but there's more to Illinois.

I once lived in Chicago up in the westside then moved to the Gold Coast. I studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago. Chicago is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Sweet Home Chicago. ❤😊

There is more to Illinois than Chicago. My first impression on my first visit was that the countryside of central Illinois reminded me of puzzle images. Show the beauty of the country, nature, etc… hidden treasures.

Beautiful video but you missed one of the most beautiful nature areas of the state...the Shawnee National Forest. You would think the one and only national forest located in Illinois would have been included in the Wonders of Illinois. The Garden of the Gods, Little Grand Canyon, Cave-in-Rock and so much more are located here with abundant beauty and fascinating history.

Illinois is a beautiful state but the politicians have made businesses unattractive unlike Texas. Sad that many are leaving this state. Chicago is great city after SFO and NY (sorry Houston doesn’t feel like a city with skyscrapers) but becoz the government is killing businesses by charging higher taxes - businesses are running away to republican states. Otherwise it’s a beautiful state than can offer so much nature for free. I love all four seasons in this state. It’s a state that offers many things to do after work. Texas is so hot and humid but only becoz businesses are flourishing people prefer that. Hope things change in Illinois!

You forgot Shawnee National Forest! It’s so amazing, I didn’t even know about it until I was in my 50ds and I’ve lived in Illinois my whole life! I visited that area several years ago and and I loved it! So beautiful, a hidden gem in Illinois.
