Regarding #7 (and I know this is different as it's a different country), here in the UK I used to work as a personal injury handler for a large car insurer and thing I hated most was having to tell our policyholders that a Third Party in very low-speed accidents was claiming for whiplash. They used to absolutely lose their minds and I don't blame them. Unfortunately our High Court ruled that a person could sustain soft-tissue injuries (whiplash) from impacts at speeds as low as 2-3mph which, personally, I think is absolute bullshit. That applies to you too, #7.

#7- this is why our insurance is so hit. It was a minor fender bender that could be fixed for a couple of thousand instead he turns it into a whiplash case that will cost thousands more on top of it. Basically insurance fraud that can't be proven to be fraud.

A good defensive driver would slow down a little to give him a bit of space. A good driver would also know they are in the passing lane so they would pass the van.
