Why YOU SUCK at SUPPORT (And How to Fix It) - Season 16!

Recently, jungling is the easiest role because most coin flip games by not finding anything to do besides take their whole camps and rely on their team to not get ganked or for their jungler to do the same and handshake every scuttle, drake, grubs, or whatever. They expect scuttle to be uncontested or need help to contest when they could give and take the other scuttle due to no prio. But instead they coinflip not only a 1v1 but also which lane sacks their gold and exp for their jungler for no reason. Most have the damage at the end of the game, even on Yi or assassins, as a melee engage with low damage like Rell, Leona, ans Nautilus. That speaks volumes more than anything. I don't know why it's been like this but it is the most consistent thing this season and somewhat last season. I mean, my Yi goes 0/4/3 with 7.2 cs a minute with 12,000 damage in a 27 minute game. I honestly might as well take Unsealed Spellbook for a majority of my games honestly to even have chances at objectives. Top lane may be a mess and mid can be at times with the meta shifted drastically but junglers tend to be the most impactful on either playing the game or afk farming the whole game while their junglers plays.

I love those tips and strategies, but I have a feeling there is one missing point, since everywhere You point it the way that those tips can makes me climb on my own... There is 4 more people in my team.

As a lux supp id say most of us know u should leave tower to ur adc our damage is laughable compared the resistence we give to tower and we should recall to be on top of tempo and hold waves instead of taking them but who gon pay for my storm surge?

Let my adc have tower gold you say? How about, dont trust your adc to handle that much gold.

This sounds great and all, but what happens when enemy support doesn't lane against me and I kill the adc 10 times and my adc is 10-0 but then my top laner is 0-10 and their top laner carries and my adc didn't carry. He played for his top and I played for my adc and I lose

A support player's failure to climb is in the name itself. As a support, you are not supposed to support your team by hanging back as they make plays. You will just watch as you slowly lose.
Support your team by dictating the pace of the map and sacrificing yourself that enables them to then make those plays.

If u r in bronze & silver. Just pick harass champ. Such as Zyra and Brand. But slow item. Burn item. And mundane. And u win for good.

If u r in gold. Pick some sup who is good at both damage and support. Such as Morgana, Janna, lux, Karma.

Some real support champs keep it for Plat and above. cuz ur adc are still a child if ranked below that.

Posturing only works if your ADC has balls too or it ends up being the same bad situation, which is usually the case

at 9:00, if tresh doesn't hook the wave as any player above bronze would've done, don't renata/smolder hard lose the trade here? How is it ever a good idea to go up the lane vs lucian/tresh in this situation

Sona players, do not give all the turret gold to ur adc, u actually do something with the gold. Rush Helia and carry

Support in this game is absolute trash

Hardest part of support is knowing if your carries will be able to carry or not. Almost impossible to know but drastically affects your pick.

Here’s a good example. I was Lux with Jinx vs Vel Koz and Ezreal. By the end of the game I was 9/2 and Jinx was 1/12. Was hyper aggressive when behind and just kept dying even though I was doing a good job at doing damage and zoning.

The next game I got the same Jinx. I was Zilean this time and we faced an Ashe/Senna. Arguably a worse match up because Zilean has good utility but low damage against a double range comp. This game Jinx absolutely cleaned house. The speed ups (to get in or help kite), the slows on the enemies, the second chance from Zilean ult after the enemy unloaded, a stun that does ok damage with the double bomb, Heal instead of Ignite… that is what this player needed instead of a support that does 75% of an enemies health and all they need do is clean up. It doesn’t make that much sense but it was the reality for this player. Then in the end Zilean’s utility to help people catch someone out of place or slowing a bruiser by 99% to make them useless helped Jinx a lot as well.

Then there’s other games I’ll play Zilean and he feels completely worthless because no matter what you do your allies don’t do damage or somehow can’t kite someone who is 99% slower than normal.

Everything is in a vacuum. Every role has their things that make them “the hardest role in the game” and “the easiest role in the game” at the same time.

The 3 biggest mistakes low elo supports do are:
1. taking waves. In no world a support should be getting a wave before the team gets their items
2. dying thinking they give less gold than another laner, which they don't. Specially in early game.
3. not helping junglers to secure objectives

10:39 the issue in low elo is if the enemy engage brand the adc would ran away instead of aa

every support main should watch this shit. Whether you’re a support main or not you should definitely watch this one.

Me had a Ranked Gold game where
My ADC get hook by red Threst Q over & over again from max Range 10 time (less than 10 min in)
Me ask ADC: Do you know how to Dodge?
ADC replied: What is Dodge?
Me: why is she in GOLD

The league community is so frustrating to me. Yall simply cannot go one video without making some sort of joke about your teammates. This is why every league player has main character syndrome I swear
