Why Trump Is Mostly Decorating Lately w/ Jim Acosta

Video Overview & Insights

Jim Acosta & Molly Jong-Fast discuss how Republican senators like John Cornyn and Bernie Moreno are seen as bowing to Donald Trump instead of confronting him, even when faced with serious allegations involving Max Miller, whose conduct is described as abusive and disturbing; the speakers argue that Trump still controls the party because Republicans have given up their own power and moral backbone. They also broaden the critique to say Trump’s influence has created a party of cowardice and delay, especially when it comes to protecting his allies or punishing misconduct, while simultaneously suggesting he is in deep cognitive decline and increasingly disconnected from reality. The conversation ends by portraying Trump as incapable of handling major challenges, from war to governing, and as someone whose political strength masks a larger national crisis that Republicans refuse to address.

NDA's to cover up abuse should be illegal. It's so maddening.

Let me say the Oval Office is by far one of the tackiest of the tacky. Its a combination flea market, swap meet, garage sale and TEMU combined. 😊 Who was the genius who put together this room?

@EmergingUnicorn

Whatever, it's less harmful than anything else trump would be doing. Trump's early terrible decorating can be replaced with a sane human decorating theme in 2029.

But why? Because the American president is not a normal person. He is a sick psychotic maniak. That is why!
Stop trying to find a reason.

It's not a matter of courage it's a matter of doing the job. If a senator can't say no to a prospective AG who has brought vendictive prosecutions and stalled on the Epstein files what hope is there?
They simply don't want to torpedo a lobbying career after they leave office. The only way to return to law and order now is to take the money out of lobbying (I.e. do something to make it less effective) or for people in office to boycott lobbyists who come from a background of voting for political appointmentees who are not suitable just to benefit themselves.

A king doesn’t concern himself with worldly trivialities. Turning the White House into Versailles, if it were decorated by Bratva Liberace, now that is a task worthy if a king. /s

The reason that these Republican senators are so supine is that a person with a soul cannot win a Republican primary.

I don't think it's a mystery. I think it's Trump's personal set of the UN-redacted Epstein Files! "We know what you did just a few Summers back, Senator, Congressman, Donor....And do you think the kids of all those men want Daddy outed? There's been an email found complimenting Epstein on a torture video, for heaven's sake! Blanch has surely provided his master with ALL the names, dates, and locations!

We would have been better off with Biden. Even with his diminished abilities, he at least had capable & qualified staff to help run the country. Trump surrounds himself with idiots.

Didn't Max Miller warn Bernie Moreno that he would expose his homosexual affairs if he publicly defended his daughter? It seems to me that there was a report that Moreno had placed an ad on craigslist several years ago for young men to travel with.

I worry that by 2028 America will have become something unrecognizable. We are a fairly lawless nation on the international front now. Nationally laws are only for those not in power. Will he leave office in two years? hmmm....

Sounds like the maga republicans and the traditional republicans better step aside now for the DSA now. When you are in a big republican tent, and two white establishment men cave to trump, it’s pathetic. Move the fuck aside and let the young kids be in charge. It is time.
