Lots of good slug chat this week! I would never claim to be the most dry slug of all time that would be ridiculous and as always hubris. But I have been tuning in since the ball street days, so I'm in the conversation. I've been thinking about making a comment about how dry I am for years now and every time I thought I'd do it, I thought nah it'll be better the longer I leave it. I think there might be some other proud drys out there like me so this is the week.

All this to say I do love the show and all the work you do, but I'll always be dry so very dry.

I know this comment if seen will get a lot of hate, but I'll always be here week by week getting drier.

I agree with james but not flav that it's about moments and the best moments are seeing trophy wins, but close behind are last minute winners, beating your rivals, thumping someone 8-0, as a Liverpool fan there won't be a day better than 1st June 2019 or 27th April 2025 but this season has been worse than 2022/23 because we didn't beat united 7-0, it's been worse than 2020/21 because Alisson hasn't scored a last minute winner and i was completely done with this season until van dijk scored in the 100th minute against everton, that's what football is about

I've been a loyal slug (dry) for many years now. There have been multiple occasions where I have been at the cusp of making myself moist - but something comes over me, I decide no. Save the money, harvest the free content and treat myself to a nice cold London pint (solo, of course) instead.

Just clarifying Todd Boehly has nothing to do with it anymore. Eghbali makes the decisions, is at the games, hired the directors, and Boehly wants out of the partnership.

15:53 in simple words I'd to like to try and explain this. After CWC last summer, it enabled heirachy they were doing great when it was all down to Maresca and some of the players. It's been 4 years and we all can agree players have short careers. They watch media and social media coverage too. One can easily feel disillusioned in the midst of it. They're simply not buying into the vision since there isn't a practical one that exists. Rosenior was simply caught in between, even if he was out of depth. Maresca leaving was so understandable and was all on Egbhali being a OCD ego driven micro management to the point of self sabatoge time and again.

BIG QUESTION! Do you think there should be laws in place set by either the FA or Fifa to protect football clubs from being run into the ground by bad ownership. I'm not a chelsea fan but this is how I see their ownership so far.
-Bluco arrive, Fire champions leauge winning manager, get rid of nearly all champions leauge winning players, invest in unknown un proven talent, many of who'm are stuck in chelsea's U21 squad, then sell players who have proved themselves to your london riivals, Hire a championship manager, sack him when he wins a title (even if it is a meaningless title) then hire a manager from a mid table french leauge team. And end up with a very low valued squad, all on massive 7-8 year contracts
