Why I stopped making videos.

Video Overview & Insights

You may have noticed I’ve been quieter on YouTube lately… but there’s a reason. In this video, I share the truth behind my slowdown, what really happened, and how it’s shaping the future of this channel. Stick around—what comes next might surprise you.

It's also worth noting that I ghosted Dr. Becky when she left me a voice DM wanting to collaborate. That's how burned out I got. Sorry, Dr. Becky. That was super rude of me.

Our son is 6 years old now. Your channel was invaluable to us during pregnancy and the years after. Thank you so much for that!

I watched your channel heavy when me and my husband had our kids in 2021-2023. As your kids get older it was the inevitable. To be honestly I stopped watching as my kids got older and didn’t need reviews for things like baby chairs anymore. All good things come to an end including social media. Thanks for helping us and my others. ❤

Andrew. We appreciate all the content you’ve shared over the years. Our son is now 2.5 and daughter is 8 months. We have watched many of your videos multiple times over the past 3 years. Thank you

Your content helped me realise that becoming a parent was a path I wanted for myself in my life. These are uncertain times and I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. But your vulnerability, your passion, your wife and your family, showing all of that and the fun gadgets along the way that can make this process safer, easier and more fun just sold me. I haven't had a kiddo yet, but your channel is the place I come to daydream. Thank you for giving me hope ♡

This is my favorite video you’ve made to date. The message you are putting out about your own journey is the most important one you’ve ever made.

Bro, your channel inspired mine. It's so good to see you back with this video. I can relate in some ways in other areas of life.

I was a third time mom, but a huge gap between my children. My partner was a first time dad and I LOVED your channel. So helpful especially during Covid.

I was pregnant with our first baby in 2020 and I was super overwhelmed with decision fatigue regarding baby products. I would send my husband links to your videos and say "watch this guy's videos and tell me what we need to buy." Thank you for your thorough and honest product reviews!

Your videos were genuine, hence I watched most of them when I had my daughter in 2021. You definitely added value to myself as a new dad.

Loved watching your videos when my daughter was born. She’s five now. Thanks for all the tips and reviews!

Single Dad circa early 2019 (very active step-mother changed this in 2023), and this channel was pivotal in shaping my early fatherhood experience and the advice on baby tech, strollers, monitors, foods, etc. was priceless. Burn out happens to the best of us, unfortunately, but I truly appreciate all the work that you put into the videos and they were extremely clutch for me in those early years. I don't often leave youtube comments, but felt compelled to let you know how valuable and important your content was for me and the other new dads out there that subbed to the channel. Thank you for all you did and I wish you and your family the very best!

I’m a dad with two naught boys from hong kong, ages 5 and 3. I’ve been a big fan of your product reviews for a while now. Way back, I bought some stuff based on your recommendations, and I gotta say, they’ve been great! Thanks for the content you put out, it’s super helpful for families like ours.

Shout out to you sir. Your content was incredibly helpful back in 2020/2021 when I was stressed about becoming a new dad!

I watched you when learning about parenting with my first born. Now I’m a father of 3. 2,4,6. You actually did help and made it feel like being a dad is doable and made it seem calming. I don’t usually comment but I wanted to say this is one of the most honest and genuine videos I’ve seen in this era. Best of luck to you all.

Hi Andrew, I’m a dad of 3. 5yo son and 2 younger girls. I remember watching you during 2020-2022 and it helped me a lot. You’re a big reason of which inspired me to create my own YouTube channel on fatherhood. Thank you, and hope you are doing well.

Shout out to you Andrew! Thanks for sharing all your stories and content and being so honest and true to who you are and finding something that makes you happy. I had watched your content in 2020 when we had our first baby boy and helped guide me in what to expect as a new dad so greatly appreciate everything you do for others!

Your videos were amazing when we were getting ready to have our first in 2020. We learned so much about baby gear from you and you always had the perfect comparisons that we needed! I personally didn’t expect you to be “an expert” but I found your reviews to be so refreshing and honest. Thank you and wishing you the best!

I watched as a mom trying to find helpful info for my husband. sad that YouTube brought you down so low.

That’s such a respectable move. No ego, no greed, just doing the right thing for your family and most importantly yourself. It’s been a while since I checked in on the channel, but it was a big source of content for me 6 years ago when my Son was born. I really respect the honesty and quality of the videos, and this one actually made me want to get back into this channel again. Glad it’s being carried on in a new way with different, but likeminded perspectives. 👊

Thanks for the transparency, I really appreciate it. I started watching to prepare for my first child, and the videos have always been enjoyable and refreshing for me.

Moving forward, it would be great to cover some topics that no one talks about, like miscarriage and infertility.

YES!! I’m so excited for this channel’s growth with new dads coming in here!

Love your content and all that you do! You were an inspiration when I started content creating! Ive been doing it for a few years and switched niches. But just want to say that this is what I needed to hear, the burn out is real, and you really do stop feeling the joy when you are chasing the subs, likes, follows, etc. I would say brand deals but I never made it that far 😂. Anyways thanks for this video and letting me know that working a normal job and posting infrequently is ok!

Well as a (then) new mom looking for content for my husband to check out this channel helped tremendously. Thank you!

Future content idea: how to handle parental anger (from tired, hunger, frustration, helplessness, etc). We have been lucky enough to attend parental classes to help us with this…but I know not everyone has that luxury.

Everyone else has already said it, and maybe more eloquently, but man...your videos were a game changer for me when we got pregnant in 2022. I found this channel when we were trying to find the right stroller for what we needed, and I got hooked. Caught up on old videos, watched all the new ones, and jumped on new content when I saw it. Your videos helped me to be a more involved dad (and husband) before he even got here. Thanks for that. And best of luck in the future!

In other words, I sold the channel 😆

I always checked back to dadverb every time my we expected another kid.
It meant a lot when we had our first boy in 2019. I’ll never forget how fun that first deep dive / rabbit hole guide into dad stuff was.
Thanks for everything, Andrew.
