Gambling was always an issue. Isn’t there a rumor that Michael Jordan’s dad got whacked by the mob because of his gambling addiction?

Don't loan money TO ANYONE with an addiction. Gambling, drugs, corn--- if you do, you won't get it back and they will see you as a cash cow and constantly come back until you cut them off. No friend is worth that.
Source: me. Used to be addicted to real drugs (still addicted to caffeine and tobacco and kratom, but I never borrow to get any of it. If I can't afford it, I just don't get it. I make sure I can afford it and never do too much). So many people would cut me out at some point because I owed them and kept trying to borrow more with any dumb excuses I could think of. I'm good with my family again, but my mom is gone and I can't apologize to her for not growing up when I should have.

It's kind of on par with the legalization of marijuana. People would do it either way, but now (I appreciate it's easier to get) stuff is way too strong and way too expensive and everyone thinks it's okay to do for everyone because it's legal. Back in the day, when you could only secretly get it from Spoony at the 7-11, it was you got high for a little bit and did your thing. Now you have 9000 strains from the dispensary, and if you aren't careful, you'll get one that will literally knock you on your butt for the next 24 hours and then on top of it, states see it as a tax fairy. My home state has a 27% tax on the highest strains. I am glad it's legal in many states but it's almost unaffordable.

I haven’t paid attention to a single sport nor care to in the last 10 years. I enjoy watching it, but I don’t care who wins. Not ever since the 80s with the Lakers and the Celtics. Now everything is corrupt. Even boxing UCFMMA anything that can be thrown they’ll be cheating involved.

9 years ago I added myself to our state self ban list for life. They recently unbanned me as my state no longer has lifetime casino ban, only 1,3,5 they knew what they're doing.

It's a failure of parenting, and nothing more. If you didn't tell your children that gambling could lead to ruination, then you failed. You are responsible for it.

I’m so thankful this was never my vibe. I didn’t set foot in a casino until I was in my 20s and always followed the rule of “bring only cash. Cash that you’re willing to lose”. I like the casino, I think it’s fun now and then. Treat it like there’s no chance of winning, and you’re just paying for the experience of a fun night with your friends.
But I agree the phones and adverts are WAYYYYY too much and are actively hurting people. I wouldn’t be against banning it again.

I was on a Carnival cruise once and put $20 into a slot machine. I won $50 immediately. I was done and cashed out. 🤣
That $50 could pay for one, maybe TWO drinks on a cruise!

I remember when I was in my early 20’s (56 now) being talked into gambling by work colleagues. I won £110 on my first bet and said that’s it I’m done. My colleagues couldn’t believe I stopped. They gambled the rest of the day & lost while I enjoyed a few drinks and my winnings! Hahaha. I’ve never gambled since. I just have no interest in it and have raised my 2 boys not to gamble as well.

Legalizing gambling was a massive I.Q. test to the world's population, and most of them flunked
#money #finance #debt
A guy in my county stole $1700 in scratchers from the store he worked at and only won $400. He's going to jail for no reason at all.

I HAAAAATE ANY KIND OF BETTING I EVEN HATE CARD GAME THAT YOU PUT MONEY ON POKER, CRAPS ECT! IT IS SO PREDATORY IT'S DISGUSTING.I DON'T EVER SEE THE HYPE OF WASTING MONEY ON A ONE IN A 0.00000000000000001 CHANCE
And the economy is so bad. What are you guys gonna do? When you're broke the addiction is so bad And it's so sad that you're gonna decide to even bet Vs eating. I can't imagine betting on a dollar
From Australia they gamble on everything
@ericcaisse791why would people gamble when the stock market has an actual record of success and the odds are in your favor?
@Matthewbyrd86My daughters school had their prom recently, and they had a gambling area set up for fake money run by the local Lions club, I was thinking how terrible an idea it was, because nobody talked about gambling addiction and how terrible it can be, and it allowed kids to start gambling risk free, potentially awakening any gambling addiction super early
@Artillerry116These "mystery boxes" are ridiculous. It would be OK, when you live in the EU, where you ALWAYS have the right (by law) to send everything back when you bought it online or in a vending machine and don't like it, but i suppose, in the US, this right doesn't exist. That's the reason, why they scam you. In the EU, these "surprise packages" do exist, too, but they are usually priced far below the normal price of the product.
@racecruiserMystery boxes. Illegal in the EU but the Turkish shops still do it.. unclaimed post... Also UK gambling sites often block serial winners, disgusting
@C4DEUKZAI have a litmus test I use to tell if someone is a gambling addict:
When they bring it up (they will) I ask how much they think they’ve lost. If they say something like “I actually hit a parlay this one time and made $2k” they’re an addict.
If their instinct is to justify with a high they felt that one time, they are gone.
Tried this with my friend’s husband. Told her after he’s probably an addict and she denied and defended him. A year later they’re getting divorced. Rumor is he’s over $15k in the hole, maybe more
This is how you can tell that there is no cost of living crisis and everything is too cheap.
@TheScooterHoonThe only gambling I do is when the lotto reaches a high prize.
And then only the minimum.
For me it's a sort of entertainment. 3 days of hoping and thinking what I will do when I win. :)
When I go to fill in a card I see people with 20+ lotto cards.
I'm so glad I have never had any interest in gambling. I don't but lotto tickets, or scratch cards, I don't even play games on my phone with micro transactions.
@NewtonianChickadeeThe law is a schoolmaster. When you legalize it you teach people it is okay to do. So more people do it. If you ban it, the opposite will happen.
@timothydelacy9571My boss gambles when she goes on cruises. She constantly gets cards in the mail for free cruises. In the 7 months I’ve worked for her she’s been on at least one cruise per month. I know how much she spends on gambling and she does not want anyone to know.
@HuguetteBCIt amazes me that when the Powerball or Mega Millions hits an all time high,that people will buy tickets with their rent or grocery money thinking they are gonna hit big when they never will.
@zoftigbeatnikPeople betting on farts
@NotSure-d3uThe only mystery about mystery boxes is how people can stay dumb for so long falling for these scams.
@richfly2393So, this women places a big bet on roulette and gets lucky. When her number hits she wins 225k. This is the type of money if you're smart and make a couple of blue chip investments you can literally build a serious nest egg for your retirement. But she decideds to stay and loses it all.
@ivoryjester1I HATE mystery boxes. I’d rather just buy what I want to own. I have never understood its appeal.
@Skelet0nCatBlakeThey took away this video’s auto-play 😂
@Skelet0nCatBlakeGambling has always been an addiction and now it’s advertised and promoted by everyone and easier than ever for underage kids to get access.
@richfly2393Very little makes me actually lol, but the roulette watch comment did, very good business. Keep up the good work Zac. Gambling is a curse on humanity.
@jamesmoningtonYou had me at Marlins $300 mystery box. The comments are right: nothing Marlins-related is $300. Not even if they will the World Series because they'll just trade or sell off their players.
@realjoffbozos1:58 nah not my Marlins😭😭😭
@offbrandsoda3097Legalized gambling is one of the worst things unleashed on society. I disagree with the woman early in the video the said she’d rather it be legal than have a black market. It’s scientifically proven that the more difficult you make a behavior to take part in, the less likely you will take part in that behavior. Legalizing gambling only makes it way easier to take part increases the number of people who are gambling.
@SoUnDMaN831Reminds me of the Micheal Jordan signed Basketballs...what a grift
@jimisenberg4113GET LEAFEON OUT OF YOUR DIRTY GAMBLER MOUTH GIRL AUGH.
@SeasonedSaladSome of these folks will bet on everything but themselves.
@terrymoorecnc2500The legalization of all these vices has really blown up in our faces. In general. “Just because you don’t know why that fence is there, doesn’t mean you should remove it.” I think a lot of us are realizing the slopes are very slippery indeed.
@timothydelacy9571Members of the military and intel will get arrested for insider trading but never the politicians, interesting how that happens.
@vSkaypUgh this video makes me sick. What a stupid thing to waste money on, I truly don't get it.
@meve531When I was gambling I quickly realised that it was dangerous for me. I gambled on videoslots online. But online you can set limits for yourself so I quickly set a really low limit of $20 per month. That is so little that it never gave me any addiction but I could play maybe a night a month. Now i do it maybe 2-3 times a year.
