Not to mention the coach won a Stanley cup on the 20th anniversary when he actually played on the team then became coach of it. Now THAT is passion executed by a very structured team. You gotta respect them coming from a devils fan we hate them yet respect the canes. Congratulations 🌀 👏

There is a lot more to be said for the sens than just Brady leaving, holy gloss over compared to other teams.

As a Blue Jackets fan, their collapse at the end of the year looked psychological. They weren’t as good after the Olympic break as they were before, but were winning about 2/3 games, good to get in the playoffs. At the end of March, they played 3 great games, lost 1-0 to the Isles, beat the Flyers 3-2 and lost 2-1 to the Habs in maybe the best game they played all year. Lost 2/3, but played great. Then the chatter was we gotta score more goals. It’s like a golfer saying they gotta make more birdies. A killer. Next game they lost 3-2 to the Sharks in a AHL level game. Jackets more or less played like that for the rest of the year. Jackets went 2-7-1 for the last 10 and missed the playoffs. They just play well and they are a great team, as we saw for a sustained period of time. Hopefully next year they will sustain the good play all year!

The loss of Brady really isn’t that big a deal. Sure he was great at some small things, such as corner battles and stick lifts, but he ultimately poisoned the well. There’s something to be said about intangibles. Eklund makes this team a lot faster, a bit younger, but shifts where the offence will come from and how it will come.

If we can’t make the adjustment knowing that, then sure - you’re right. But if we can, then we might’ve just gotten better, not worse.

As a Canes fan, still riding high over here - there are some aspects we could improve upon. Specifically our physicality. Especially with the Goons from Florida in our conference, It wouldn't hurt to to have some more physical play. People forget that Slavin was out hurt most of the beginning of the season and we still did well - but we can't rely on him and him alone in the D zone.
