The Air Force closed all of its So Cal bases except two. March and Vandenberg
@crazy4dariverI thought Texas had the more military basis
@savinoalamillo7588nothing new or current here. We have fewer bases than years ago. Lots of closures.
@senzanome8294the question should be why is our military Budget a trillion dollars.
@Charles-n8pWhy does California have so many military bases, the answer is very simple (doesn't take a Rhodes Scholar to figure it out) that is because of its strategic location.
@BigJim12860California is thinking Independence because the GOP and red states hate us and we are treated with disrespect.
@PatJimenez-w7oPLACED STRATEGICALLY SET UP AND I KNOW WE'RE DON'T NEED A MILITARY INVASION BUT, MULTITUDES OF A REGULAR BASIC NEIGHBORHOODS TO BACK UP OUR MILITARY GOE ...
@daveyamericanpridegodbless9842California is the true cowboy state!
@JuniorLeiva-y5tit used to have a lot more than that
@lcfodat1321All the more reason to build out that California High Speed Rail, to move civilians, troops, and cargo around the state. It's a long term good infrastructure project, even with the high price tag.
@MazIsProgrammingBecause they know we're going to revolt after putting up with too much shit this state has given us
@shinigami1320It's proximity to the asia pacific
@craigxfleming8806During the Second BRAC in the early 2000s, there was a saying ABC... "Anywhere But California."
@CrazyWhiteJoneserSo we can succeed from the Union and still have a strong army and navy.
We should really get Oregon and Washington to sign on to lock down the entire lower western coastline.
Didnt mention N.T.C., spent 30 days in the "DustBowl" with the 24th Infantry Division (signal btn) 63b thank you (Ft Irwin)
@c.brooks68RESPECT 3 PRYMID,S,GOLD,LITHEM.
@DianaOrtega-b8mRESPECT UNDER GROUND GOLD,LITHEM.
@DianaOrtega-b8mIt makes sense, if you want to invade the United States California has deep water ports you need to support an invading army. If you can also take Los Angeles there would be a huge loss to the American economy which would weaken any war effort. Having bases in California makes this impossible.
@AveragegunenthusiastI loved it when i was at tiny but gorgous long beach navy base to my former homeport of uss new jersey bb62. 1984 to 86 i lived in long beach.
@Michael-f4d8gToo bad Ca. Is ruled by Newsom, not its residents.
@oceantriBecause the state is HUGE and it takes up most of the west coast.
@factsoverfeelings1776San Diego have more more than four military bases. They got a lot of base around San Diego county
@MarcusEdison-ib7wpMichigan is close to Illinois. Navy.
@Bat_yaAll other states hating on CA. BUT at the end is a major support in the USA
@davidcaballero2740by the wat Huemene is prouunced Y-knee-me!!
@RBlaineSorensenNobody ax yu
@Jesse-v7dYeah, Football World Cup comes to America 2026, US plans to win it.
@hgdon-homeiswheretreesare-9239Because California is biggest state in the country (close to Pacific Ocean and Asia)
@hgdon-homeiswheretreesare-9239Because we're the 3rd largest state with the biggest population and best weather in the country, of course it's gonna have a lot of military bases
@TheRealMcCoy88They are hiding something under all of them
@christiansmith-of7dtGood thing they can help with the deportation process and Incase they need to retake California to the United States lol
@bradleyporter138Talking about CA bases and shows footage of Red Flag in Vegas
@cdyjv118Actually CA used to have far more bases than it does now, some were pretty well known and some that have completely forgotten about. The Air Force alone lost several big installations to BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) in 1992-94 including George (Victorville), Mather (Sacramento), Norton (San Bernadino), and McClellan (Sacramento). The USMC had MCASs El Toro and Tustin which were merged into now MCAS Miramar which used to belong to the Navy and was the home of Top Gun (and the West Coast F-14 RAG). The Army also lost several bases including Fort Ord and Fort MacArthur. But not only have many bases closed in CA but many of the ones still open shrunk significantly and the overall military presence here is a fraction of what it was, and gone with them some of the best air shows in the country!
@cdyjv118111-22-24 In 20-20 hind sight its now painfully clear that that BRAC cut way to deep in Calif now that we are faced with Biden's stupid confrontaton with China over Tiawan in the pacific. As Gen Douglas McArther once said "never engage in a land war with the Asia". The good news is that Trump doesn't do war like the Dems and China loaned us $800 Billion dollars at 4% interest. Not a good idea to get into a confrontation with the U.S.and maybe kiss off $800 Billion. bucks
@77space-vt8wiWhat about China lake naval base?

@maxwaller8344Then Silicon Valley is also better protected.
@aandezwierim from california and these bases shouldn’t be here this is a local state not a military operation
@mattburritoMilitary has gotta have someplace to hide all those drugs coming in from Mexico and Vietnam and China
@Cantsaydogare you counting reserve bases in that? in 91, there was a massive cutback where they closed all kinds of bases...big bases too. ft ord, castle air force base, navy basic training in san diego, hunters point nas and most other bases in the bay area. many bases in sacramento and so on.ft ord??? castle air force base?? the navy basic training base?? sac bases and army division hq's are no longer needed? under the guise of closing out old pony express waypoints and such...they closed down all these bases i mentioned and many more.
@rickforespring4834Hmmm maybe because it's on the same side as CHINA and RUSSIA? Macgyver took a whole video.
