Conflict on the Korean peninsula goes back several thousand years. What happened over the last 200 years was mainly the result of western and Japanese imperialism. North Korea is trying to return to the good old days of Gugoryo and dynastic reign while South Korea embraces the spirit of Joseon. It's a problem solvable only by conquest.😢

The north wanted dictatorship and the south wanted democracy. With the support from the US troops, South Korea was close to defeating north.
