Not mentioning Juventus 1996 to 1998 is insane. Arguably the best Juventus squad ever.

As regards on paper it doesnt get better than the 2004/05 AC Milan side. Juve had a stacked squad in 2005/06 aswell but still crashed out of the UCL to Arsenal..and we all know how they bribed refs to win serie A..which they didnt need to do as they were more than good enough to win it without cheating. The Lazio squad of 2000/01 was also insane..even stronger than the previous seasons Serie A winning team. Finally Parma of 1998/99 had an amazing team and managed to lift the Uefa Cup that season but fell short of winning Serie A.

I don't know what the best was, but I grew up in Italy in the 80s and 90s and that was normal to me, I mean to have Maradona and Gullit interviewed in Italian after the game. Now I understand my baptism with football set the standard too high...watching football today, where the goalie touches the ball more than the strikers, and rarely you see someone going out of script...I follow football only for fantasy football lol
