Most of the groups that later emerged as TTP had the same root. During Russian invasion of Afghanistan, U.S with the aid of their financial power provided weapons and solely relied on Pakistan to house them and use them against the USSR. After the war ended, these groups divided. Some went against USA and some lived in the upper western part of Pakistan known as SWAT. And then TTP emerged.

They are different from The Afghan Taliban,the TTP was made by the Pakistanis who were victims of constant Drone Attacks by the CIA in North Waziristan etc.Adding feul to the fire in 2007 Musharraf conducted a Commando raid on a Mosque in Islamabad called the Red Mosque and this further precipitated the the creation of the TTP,the TTP did suicide bombings all over Pakistan in which they mostly attacked Police and the Military and ISI(Pakistani Intelligence).

It's actually funny that considering America, The super power with most of Europe and Afghanistan combined aren't able to stop Taliban yet Pakistan a poor country with not that much weapons destroyed the TTP is less than a few years.

Now The biggest threat for Pakistan is not TTP but is ISISK because most of TTP fighters have join ISISK and also Baloch separate s movement s in Balochistan have also joined ISIS as we seen in recently first suicide Attacks in Baluchistan.So now this threat is more dangerous than previous ones. They are world most dangerous fighters.illyas Kashmiri former SSG who later joined TTP planned most sophisticated attack in Indian city of Bombay .His aim was to obliged Pakistan gov to evcuate it's Army from Western border to Eastern border.

But Our Army and IsI fought them eliminated them and saved my homeland from becoming like Iraq or Afghanistan, these attacks will end soon, TTP is attacking our border and Army bcz their was instability in Afghanistan and now Taliban are pushing them from their side and Pakistan is stopping them from entering here ... So they have no where to go ultimately they will lose (until US and It's allies don't invade another country or make it another country unstable = save heaven )

TTP are bloodthirsty tribals who lost their loved ones in US drone strikes and Pakistan army operations and even the school attack was to avenge the deaths of their kids. Hakinullah Mehsud stated a week before the attack that they killed our children and we'll give them the same pain to deal with however, this turned public opinion against it since it exposed them as brutal savages attacking kids since their attack was Islamically not allowed while they used Islam as cover!

You are wrong about Omar Khalid Khorasani. He was a founding member of ttp but was ousted by Mulana Fazlullah in 2014....before APS Attack. And he went onto form Jamat-ul-Ahrar which affiliated itself to ISIS. The group eventually rolled back into ttp. Khorasani and some others refused to re-join ttp and went onto become a full member of ISIS and it's khorasan faction commander. Mulana Fazlullah was responsible for APS attacks. And he was associated with the afghan taliban and alqaeda. He was the same ttp leader who ordered the attack on Malala. He was killed in 2018 by a us drone attack near afghanistan and pakistan border.
Omar Khalid Khorasani wasn't killed by the afghan taliban for APS attack or anything to do with pakistan. He was killed because he was a ISIS-K commander. And the idea that afghan taliban and ttp are completely different and not aligned is complete fabrication of pakistani propaganda. They are not only ethnically and regionally linked but follow the same sect of islam. They are deobands. Most pashtuns follow belong to that sect. Deobands are I think the second biggest sect in pakistan. Barelvis being the first. However the taliban (both afghan and pakistani) have infused pashtoon tribal culture with their deoband belief system. So both of them are equally extreme and very much aligned with each other. The only difference is that one wants afghanistan while the other wants pakistan. Due to this antistate stance they were targeted. Otherwise there are plenty of other militant groups in pakistan that roam around freely even though some have been designated by UN as terrorist groups. But since they aren't really antistate and abide by the military establishment's policies they are not targeted.
They have had disagreements with afghan taliban but I don't think that there's ever been a full fledge battle between the two. Those incidences could have involved ex-ttp members who joined ISIS-K. Currently afghan taliban has freed all members of ttp that were in afghan prisons. Even the current leader, a relative of meshud and the head of meshud tribe, who has made speeches against pakistan after being freed. TTP was instrumental in helping afghan taliban takeover afghanistan.
What's even worse is that Afghan Taliban have refused to handover ttp members to pakistan. And recently Imran Khan made ttp a golden offer..a truce where if they put down their weapons then they will able to come back to pakistan and live their lives as free men. TTP however have seemed to refuse this offer and have not only continued but increased their attacks on pakistani soldiers at pak/afghan border.

Taliban should capture Pakistan and make it part of Afghan tiger

Omar kharassni was the man backed by ex-afghan govt with the support of Indian govt. He was never handed over to Pakistan by ex-afghan govt. TTP that is now the ISIS-K is the proxy of India.
