Just returned from Paris yesterday and spent time in all the major neighborhoods . All wonderful but noticed something that no one seems to mention AND ITS IMPORTANT: noise.
I was surprised how noisy certain areas were, especially with noise from emergency and police vehicles. Le Maris, Mont Marte and Saint Germain seemed to be non stop sirens and they are very very loud. Stayed in the Passy neighbourhood and never heard one in six days.

I've stayed in the 20th on multiple occasions. It's a vibrant, authentic, and diverse, with lots of busy neighborhoods. It's real, not touristy at all but has a lot of good restaurants, and less expensive lodgings. The metro and bus lines are convenient and reliable, you can get to anywhere from there of course.

Bonjour! I so love watching your videos. We have visited Paris and France a few times and wish your information had been available back then. We had planned more travel to France, but medical issues have derailed our hopes for extensive travel. I am 73 and likely will no longer be able to travel internationally. Watching your videos has given me the opportunity to experience the very best of Paris vicariously. At times, I almost feel as if I were there again. Thank you for bringing the beauty, charm, and spirit of Paris to those of us who can now only visit through your lens.

I will only say in a hotel. Why would I want to do housework or cook when Iβm on vacation! As a solo traveler I like the security of a fully staffed hotel.

My wife and I stayed in Trocadero and we loved it.
Les Marais: We did not like it at all because it was a tourist trap with locals tired of dealing with tourists, so I'm surprised to see the Frenchies recommending it.
St. Germain: We walked from Trocadero to St. Germain every day (we walk a lot!) for our fav restaurants.
Latin Quarter: Amazing restaurants and nice vibe but it does get rowdy at night. We loved it.
Opera: is lovely.
Trocadero (Passy - 16th arrondissement): The best that I know about Paris, so far. We were a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and the restaurants are superb and have a less touristy vibe. There is a street market on Tuesdays and Saturdays that we loved.

How would you rate Novotel Paris Les Halles? We selected it because it states it is a ten-minute walk to the Louvre.

They never mentioned the 4th arr but I highly recommend it. Quiet area after a full day of sightseeing. For the small neighborhood thereβs nice boutiques for shopping with several dining option in the arr and even more close in the surrounding arrs. We stayed twice in a lovely boutique hotel, Hotel Saint-Louis Lβisle. Price around 225 euro a night. Close to several metro stations. 24 hour lobby attendant and a good breakfast if you want. On our hotel street we had a cheese, meat, wine, bakery and little grocery store to make an incredible picnic for ourselves. Weβre headed back to Paris in the next few years and weβll stay there again.

@IsmjsbSzjzznzbbLove The Frenchies!! Can anyone help?? 3 yrs ago I bought my ticket and booked a hotel (which I can't remember now the name :( but on departure day I cancelled!! I was somehow overwhelmed because at the time there were shut downs on buses and trains and planes. I didn't want to get stuck between countries or cities. NOW I'm trying again!! I just bought my ticket for end of Feb 2026. Want to stay 2 weeks (thinking it's my only time going and want to make it count. HOWEVER I can see it can be EXPENSIVE (I'm going by myself) and need an area safe for night walking. Need a clean place to sleep and shower basically. I'm getting overwhelmed again with which hotel and area. Just watched the video lots of info. but still not sure (I have some ideas to look on 5Th, 10th, 14th and 18th arrondissement

@FernandoRMVegaI love the 5th (pantheon) area. Close to everything and felt safe. From the hotel i stayed in. It was straight up to the notre dame i think it was one km walk or something. But 2 metro stations close. I slept at the marriot hotel on bd saint Jacques.

@maunykaseburg7969LOVE the 16th. It's quiet, it's clean....my daughter and I rented a remodeled chambre de bonne on Ave Georges Mandel. We got to be very close friends with the landlady (a Comtesse ) - so beautiful!

@nicolassitter-nolleau8595As a retired flight attendant who worked my last 10 years flying layovers in Paris. Our Hotel layovers were in different areas of Paris but never in La Marais. I discover La Marais while shopping at at the bookstore near Louvre and during layovers having dinner there. After I retired I missed my Paris Layovers so much (My husband isn't a fan of France) however, my husband suggested I go back for a holiday. My first trip i rented an apartment for 10 days in the 3rd, the next year in the 4th and fell in love with the 4th. Even when I was alone and at all hours I felt very comfortable walking alone anytime day or night. I would meet fellow flight attendants, old acquaintances who were on layover in the 7th. When we finished, they went back to their layover hotel in a group of 4-8 people and I would go in a different direction for the Metro to get to my apartment. The streets were wide with large sidewalks, but deserted and I was always looking over my shoulder and NOT comfortable in the area. When I returned to the 4th, I felt a big sigh of relief...lots of people on the streets, it s very interesting area, LGBQ, mixed race couples, straights, a large Jewish community and just comforting with lots of people strolling. I always feel safer in the 4th. Of course, I enjoy visiting other areas but I feel "at home" in the 4th. I' enjoying your Your Tube as well as your publications. It's quiet at night, near metro stations, walkable to a lot of sights.
Lots of restaurants and chocolate stores.

@romeodambrosio9689My husband and I honeymooned in Paris many years ago. We stayed at Hotel le LittrΓ© in Montparnasse and loved it. The hotel was charming and the neighborhood was great. We hope to go back someday! I appreciate all the good recommendations
