There is a relatively logical explanation for this. Dogs often form a particularly strong bond with the dominant personalityโor the "alpha."
Iโm not saying the man has to be dominant and the woman submissive for this to happen, but dogs have a very keen sense of hierarchy, and most women do tend to act just a little bit submissive in a relationship. I don't mean that in a judgmental way at all, but if your dog sees that you admire your husband, heโll think: "Aha, the man is the alpha!"
