Ah finally, paying homage to a true legend! How his name fell off the map is beyond me. Single handed took Italy to the finals.

If he was in this era, looked after and fully fit, he would be unstoppable. Its as simple as that. On pure technic, skill and flair., he was second to none. It's only the peasantry of football that slag him off.

Baggio like dribbling, making fancy moves with his feet. Baggio admired Brazilian players when he was a kid and an adult, that is why he tried to be like them. Baggio was unique, and trainers in Italy didn't realize until it was too late because they wanted to keep the Italian style, playing for the team, keeping with their strength with all the players. Then, he said to a trainer "You wouldn´t tell Maradona to play for the team". And after that, we saw an extraordinary italian man who could do magic with his feet. Also, he is a nice person, very humble, very honest. I remember when he talked about his father "hey dad, a team has called me, I'm going to be a professional" and his father "Ok, that sounds nice because now you can pay for all the broken windows you left with the ball".

Ragazzi... senza offesa, ma continuare a cercare di mettere baggio nella stessa frase con totti è una mancanza... leggo i commenti e vedo tante persone che scrivono solo per inserire totti in questa discussione.

Caro amici...Ronaldo (cristiano) e messi non sono migliori di baggio. Il calcio di quei tempi permetteva tutto alle difese (e le difese di allora erano migliori di adesso...i migliori difensori di oggi non farebbero parte di una top 50 con quelli di allora) e le regole di oggi sono molto migliori per gli attaccanti
Messi e cristiano 30/40 anni fa sarebbero semplicemente buoni attaccanti... ma baggio era più forte di loro

Avevo 8 anni durante la World Cup 1994, anche se ero così giovane ricordo perfettamente la scalata dell'Italia al mondiale, il percorso di Baggio partita dopo partita fino alla delusione finale.
Delusione però che fece anche emergere la persona dietro l'eroe. Nessuno smise per un momento di adorarlo, troppa stima, troppo rispetto.

E' stato senza dubbio il momento che mi fece innamorare di questo sport.

I think it's probably true that he doesn't realise how loved he still is, if he would go on the podcast circuit he'd be surprised just how many of us that still, STILL, love him.

Baggio was so amazing, its sad his career was hampered by a lot of knee injuries (six surgeries!!), especially at age 18 where his career was at risk with reconstruction of his right knee and with limitations of medical sciences at the time.

In the big scheme of things, considering the really good footballers, Baggio is probably the most overrated. He was slow, had a weak shot, and generally, did not influence many games for his team. Not even on top 100 list of Italian players.

Baggio was one of the best players in 90's. He was a great team player with excellent skill sets and play vision, but several managers did not want to assign the most suitable position for him: attacking midfielder.

In my opinion Baggio was better than Messi or CR7. Only Diego is above him!

I grew up with Baggio from World Cup 1990 in Italy, was the best striker/playmaker at that time, best Italian player i ever saw. Italy had many many good offensive players back then, defenders they were also stacked.

Baggio purtroppo sei nato in Italia. Un paese che mette in ombra i suoi talenti. Se fossi nato in altri paesi, avresti giocato sempre in nazionale, solo la nazionale italiana ti ha negato due europei e un mondiale. Non ti meritava
