My teacher, a student of Dave Creamer, who was Joe Satriani and Jason Becker's teacher is starting me on scales. I can barely hold the pick correctly lol. Is this a mistake?

One of my biggest problems is my completely fused left wrist(due to a work injury). Until I finally decided to take lessons, I wasnt even aware a "classic" position existed lol. Instead of resting the guitar on the on neck side, I rest it on the other leg and it opened up a new world for me. I couldn't do anything last the 12-13th fret. Now, the whole neck is available although I can still only play a 22 fret guitar

It's funny how everyone always mentions a horse with no name and the two cords , but never has anyone tried to finish it that way. I wanna hear someone play the entire song from beginning to end with just those two chords , including the lyrics.

Hi,
Is there a certain way one can learn the continuously strumming? I do have problems kinda working out the rhythm with a Metronom, any ideas tips or YouTube videos y'all have??

I play guitar since i was 14, and now i wanted to help teach my nephew, and honestly i used exactly that method. learning basic chords, and how to play in rhythm But kids they want to go straight out to play Rock Metal songs which i think is wrong in the first early stage, do you agree?

I started learning from guitar tabs, mostly metallica riffs. I can do a lot of riffs now and i can get a pretty clean version of the solo on nothing else matters too at this point, but i can't strum if my life depended on it. I guess i'm just not into this type of playing though.
