What's it like to take NJ Transit trains to MetLife Stadium for Copa América?
Video Overview & Insights
Social justice writer Taylor Jung took the train from New York City to MetLife Stadium for the Chile-Argentina Copa América game to see what the ride would be like amid crowds. State officials have touted NJ Transit’s trains as a good option to get to the stadium, especially with the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to the region. Could NJ deliver on its transit promise?
found this video, and fun fact I went to this game by car and although NJT would have been the better option, I went in car instead 🤦♂ Since I live in upstate NY I could have just taken the Bergen or Main line to Hoboken and just gone from there.

Stop the mask nonsense. If you worried about contracting sickness, stay off the train. That’s the worst environment to be on if you are concerned. Just stop already.

As a NJ resident who always takes NJ Transit when going into Manhattan, yes it's absolutely ridiculous that they only announce the track just 10 minutes before departure. People dash because they're trying to get a seat and not be the one stuck standing in the aisle. Good breakdown guide
@javianjohnson8746More importantly, how did it go when you left the stadium? Was the train still running?
@facundomdiaz😂😂😂😂😂😂 just not useful 😂😂😂.
@DanielSanchez-sg5hbAt NJT vending machines, if you have a foreign credit card, just type all 9s for the zip code. That being said those vending machines take tap to pay so there should be 0 reason why a zip code is needed. In most countries after a certain amount charged a pin is required for tap to pay even on a credit card. I actually set up my credit card to have a pin and to ask at any random transaction for tap to pay on my phone or using my physical card. About once every 20 transactions I have to put in my pin
@johnsamoilis6379The train was working? WOW!
@JamesHorton-fo3yvI get lost everytime in the train station when i dont takw it often.
Google maps really help navigate it all
