I have yet to hear someone saying the obvious thing: the more properties are sold to for owners to occupy, the fewer people will be out there looking to rent as direct consequence. Let me say it again, every person that buys their home or apartment to live in, is a person that would have had to rent otherwise and is not competing on the rental market anymore. So, the whole argument that fewer property investors means harder rental market is mute really.
