Thanks for sharing your experience and explaining things - I had no idea that Outplayed and OddsMonkey were now part of the same company. That's interesting to know. Would you say that, beyond the initial sign-up offers, matched betting is - by itself - really profitable, or do you need to fully understand and get into EV betting and other strategies to actually get anywhere?
It seems to me that matched betting/arbitrage betting in the US is far more profitable there than it is over here in the UK. Is that correct? Also, do you think that it's possible to 'scale up' in matched betting, so that instead of making just a few pounds off one event or bookmaker, you can multiply your profits over several - or do you think that it's now better to focus mainly on EV - type betting or other similar strategies to really be successful?
