For the next 20 years, he was then trapped in this prison of a suit and was held back from his full potential, but what if things were different? What if Darth Vader upgraded his suit?...

According to the novelization it was the medical droids who created the suit. When would have Sidious have designed it? While fighting Yoda?
@adrianconte2848There should be a Star Wars what if series. Showing alternative plot points like what if Qui gon lived, what if obi want had been able to turn anakin back to the light before defeating him, what if vaders suit had been upgraded like this video, etc.
@darthjoshua501I don’t see how you’d be able to make his suit immune to force lightning. Metal simply will conduct electricity, and even if you insulate it, there are limits to insulation. Palpatines lighting is shown to be very powerful. Enough to disintegrate people. But yes, if he was able to lighten himself and make himself nigh invulnerable to lightsabers, then he would likely be able to best palpatine. He could easily block the lightning with his lightsaber and with his increased speed out maneuver him or try and force choke him.
@darthjoshua501In the comics, Vader does upgrade his suit but chooses to return back to the original. I don't know the exact reason but it's along the lines of the limitations made him embrace the dark side more
