Hello, Keith. My got 5.5 in speaking part. According to your analysis, my speaking is really bad. 😢

Just to be aware, there is a difference between 'idioms' and 'idiomatic language.'

Idioms are things like:
- that's the way the cookie crumbles
- the grass is always greener on the other side

Idiomatic language is just phrases with a non-literal meaning, like:
- fall asleep
- my heart was racing
- I can't stand chocolate

Most people at B2/C1 level will use idiomatic language without even realising it.

You do NOT have to use idioms to get a band 7 / 8 / 9 in LR. In my experience, candidates who force idioms out don't get that band 7+ for LR.
