Yet more rubbish wet, windy and chilly weather for the west of Scotland! What a summer we’ve had up here so far. I make it 5-6 days of acceptable summery weather now in the entirety of June.

UK 🇬🇧 Weather advisory:
Another heatwave with a prolonged drought in July 🌞
I do like the hot weather specially summer evenings around 8 to 10pm where the suns starting to set you can feel a slight summer breeze everything is quiet peaceful and its nice. But 36c was even a bit too much for me i tapped out by midday just went inside closed the blinds and turned the AC on. The cat constantly mithering me because it wanted to go out i kept trying to tell it if you go out you will die that was a bit of a challenge trying to keep him in. the ground was still warm at 2am i would wake up just to walk the dog because i couldn't do it in the day i was still nervous about his little paws even at 2am. I want it nice but not like that last heatwave.
@evildeed90sHumidity is worse 😏
@lauraatkinson8920🌡
@robnewman6101Hopefully another heatwave!
@JordyRidgeThe days are getting shorter - albeit slowly right now.
@Exposure2lifeRoll on winter ❄️
@astra-rb6szNooo 😢
@ste2577It aint going back to 'normal', it's going to get hotter and hotter, year on year. What did you think this global warming / climate change thing we have been warning you about for the past 40 years was going to involve? I find it amazing that so many people still seem to think it's just some sort of amusing distraction, like cat videos or something.
@richardmundy214Oh, no! Not again! I read today we might be limited to a 4 minute shower - bathroom type - in the future... 🤦♀️ 😂
@Amanda_KerriIt’s summer sorry I had to it 😂
@dns93a67It feels like this is going to be a recurring pattern over summer.
We're going to have to adapt as best we can - and do it in an undramatic way.
There's absolutely a lot of drama around this that the media is whipping up.
However it remains true that our summer extremes are becoming more normalized.
Two record breaking summers within 4 years doesn't make a trend, but three or four within a decade will.
That's on top of each successive year being either close to the hottest on record globally OR being it.
We can cope if we get educated and also if the government steps up.
The difference made simply by covering up windows in the heat of the day can be remarkable.
Even temporary measures, like putting up sheets to cover windows makes a big difference.
Retrofitting windows with shutters is relatively cheap in the most basic form - e.g. done on the outside of the house.
But aside from that, there's plenty that can be done for free in many homes.
Despite this, I still see neighbors with their windows wide open in the hottest part of the day.
The message hasn't got through.
No rain here in West Midlands in weeks.
@dalechannelI just looked at next week on Ventusky and it's saying 39°C!
@WhothemAnother heatwave, Alex?? You're scaring me!!!
@CathyCook-j5rDifferent models forecast between 26 and 38 degrees for Tue next week (London area). Let's see how those models come to a better alignment over the next days.
@318ishonkYou said last heatwave we won’t be it like May but that was wrong. Can you refrain from saying this ? As it’s misleading!
@Ilhan-l6eThank you, Alex
@christineemmawp88Hot weather from an Azores high is par for the course. The two factors last week: the centre of the high shifted to the east of the country so the winds started coming up from the south; the air over Europe was already extremely hot. So let's hope the high doesn't migrate to far east.
@andrewcorrie8936Yay, more heat, and uncomfortable nights, can't wait. NOT!!!!
@LukeShort1854We need more data centers to save the polar bears from 40p carrier bags - cue banjo playing from millipede
@yodude101fulSummer time. 🎉
@Paul-zz1crAllah controls the weather no one else can’t change
@AhmedIbrahim-vo8jdWere not getting any of the rain, we keep missing out (Surrey). ☔😡
@claireangier3322Counting down the days until autumn.
@kfarawatson9351Having had the wettest autumn/winter here in Cumbria that I can ever recall (started raining on September 1st & apart from the odd day never stopped until mid April) & I'm 60 next week so seen plenty of winters,I'm quite happy to see a few dry days coming our way, raining this morning, raining tonight & forecast heavy rain tomorrow again too 🌧️..a little sunshine is nice with temps around 20c, anything more than that I find uncomfortable as do my dogs.
@andym2869still waiting for rain in the east midlands
@OzawaEriWe definitely don't want another heatwave !
@Michael-z9w9rif it's not dawn's fault it could be claudia's (i'll get my coat)
@Eddy.mshark26So, we get some summer weather next week, during summer. Shocker!
