'aided of course by very strong sunshine each day' -> The fact is that sun creates the pressure differences in the atmosphere, not as he puts it 'air compression is aided by strong sunshine'. The sun is the primary cause of the air pressure differences. It does not 'aid', it's the primary mover. I find this man annoying: hand movements covering the entire screen. 20, 21, 22 June are the longest days in the Northern hemisphere due to earth's rotation, hence tilt towards the sun. So, what is aiding what? I think this guy worked alone while preparing his script.

😡 we go on holiday every year to hotter countries, so thanks for telling us to drink water and use sun cream,I would never have thought of that
@golfpro-x8hWhat a fuss over a few hot days.
@Mark-l9k9qEXTREME!!!!!!!
@12345charliebrownThis year alone, where I live it's ranged between -29.4 C and 38.3 C... On average our relative humidity is between 60-75%... And we JUST started summer.
It's hot, but y'all will be okay. Look up how people in the US survive extreme temps, invest in a box fan and keep a bucket of water and rags close by, stay out of direct sunlight & hydrate.
I've always found these reactions a bit odd; by February, most of us over here are praying for our 38 C days 😂
Oh OK, where is the melting hot tarmac. Wanna play😂
@michellegordon456Humid weather has to be the worst especially when houses are made to lock in heat rather than expell it
@fizzyg9299Keep windows and external doors shut and cover the windows with aluminium foil.
@BrotherAbraxas😂😂😂😂😂😂
@SeanSimmons-c8hI from Spain and we regularly see this weather in June, July and August. I find U.K. much more harder to be comfortable though in
@Tdr-jv2ncWhy can’t every day be like this, can’t stand the cold or rain or wind. I’d rather bake.
@TorexeonI work in a lab in a room with no aircon, we have fans, it hit 45C in that room, I have taken PTO, sod that lol.
@TezziousIts summer
@matthewhopkins4908I need to buy a fan asap
@top_G_82So many melts in the comment section - pun fully intended
I didn’t people still followed MSM but every now again I remember why 2020 was allowed to happen
5:33 ahh yes i love school
@actionkoala529glad its not snowing imagine having to shovel snow in this heat.. i'll pass
@artemisfowl9002BUMBACLAAAAART
@London-LadI used to live in this heat and you made sure you were inside by 10 am and didn't go out until 5pm when the sun was going down (Asia). So you don't just potter about and go about your business at all.
@nickydietrich5924I yearn for the day when the temp is in the single digits
@CadiasFinestNot looking forward to the 3pm school runs this week...
@Rolo123BABYGive me a break. it's called summer .
@Xyz123-u7jIt’s incredible that Australians have survived for so long. Or that Brits actually choose to got to hot countries for holidays. I know ..I know we love a bit of hysterical reaction when summer actually arrives. 😎
@MarkeLane-o5xI'm 73 I remember temperatures like this as I was growing up during the 50s and the 60s in the 80s we've had this weather all before it's just you climate change zealots wanna make out something spectacular is happening what is not the climate is doing what is been doing for over 65 billion years
@ritchieblackmore5204I think lerwick is looking like the best place to be.
@evie1915It’s summer!…😂
@David-q9g5iI'm 72 and have been interested in weather and climate since childhood. I grew up in London, then moved to the West Country. At none of these locations did the temperature ever come anywhere NEAR to 40 degrees!
@hreaderI thought the weather forecaster was Russell Kane at first
@Jesusofsuburbia-d9rWhat a terrible amount of scare mongering. When did the weather forecast become an NHS advice line? From the stats that extreme max temp 39 was London only. It was only predicted as 29 in Norwich. Why has the wind chill factor not been mentioned like it is in the winter? We have a strong, cooling breeze that has not been mentioned at all and we are not up north or by the coast. So far here as at Tues am it's not lived up to the forecast! Just be sensible esp if you have health issues, pets or are elderly. Some of us actually enjoy the heat and let's face it, it's a few days only a year. Only needs 3 days to be classed as a heatwave! Only passing reference to thunderstorms which appear to have caused more issues than the heat so far. Metropolitan line flooded, Heathrow affected, Bath and Swindon with bad storms. I think we can cope Aiden!😊
@momae3389Why is Metcheck saying something different? Bit cooler than on this video 🤔
@SewGeorgiaI remember my husband and I in Majorca on holiday and waiting for the bus, it was forty degrees! It was lovely.
@rosefenton3005Not much fun being coupled up in your room, but at least I’m comfortable with air con.
@rosefenton3005Well, I’m stuck in my room with the Ac so thankful.
Anyone out and about will be feeling the heat now,
Look after your dogs guys, keep em indoors and definately no car trips!
@derkaiser9063A great tip for keeping cool is freezing some 1 litre bottles of water and zip tieing them to the back of an oscillating fan, it makes a very noticeable difference. Just put a towel down to catch any drips.
@Meatbag033Like this every day in India etc. No good for digging drains or building site work. Head for beach/woods/lake/mountains to enjoy. Cold shower for any heat stress.
@davidgriffiths7696Thundery with some spells of heavy rain since 3.30 this morning here in Seaford. Fresher and cooler now. This was not forecast. Again 1976 was much hotter and drier. No rain from April till end of August. Not even clouds. That was a historic summer.
@TROYTOWN2I’m sleeping in the kitchen
@KXLDEWhy does everybody concentrate on the bad days and forget the overall good days?
@bigbuttmcgrawOpen your loft hatch. Heat has a place to rise.
@mgcocasalYou'll still get Americans saying "That's not hot! You should see our summers!"
@TheYopogoSerious heat.
@andrewsheers1000Air conditioning rejects heat outside hence contributes to higher temperatures outside. We need more trees and greenery outside to cool temperatures down. No outside shutters also allows heat to build up inside, so put some protection outside your windows 👍
@lenarozie838My van was reading 35 yesterday before that storm hit.
@AJB2K3I have thunderstorms rn and rain 😭
@Kayla-XoXo14I only open my Windows early morning then close them up and close the curtains for the rest of the day. I take a cool shower, stay hydrated drinking plenty of water and use a fan part of the day. My only fear is powercuts during the hottest periods especially for people with young children. I'm elderly and manage but little children will really suffer.
