We Renovated an Abandoned Tiny Home (Start to Finish)
Video Overview & Insights
When we bought our abandoned 500-year-old cottage, it came with a neglected garage apartment that was barely habitable. This film follows its complete transformation into the cosy tiny home we lived in while restoring our dream home next door.
Thank you so much for watching this film. ❤
We poured a huge amount of time into bringing the entire renovation together, and I really hope you enjoyed following the journey from start to finish.
If you're new here, welcome! This tiny home was just one chapter of our much bigger project restoring a 500-year-old Cotswold cottage.
We'll be back in around two weeks with the next episode. Until then, we're making the most of some precious time with Bonnie before getting stuck back into the renovation.
Thank you all for being here. It genuinely means the world to our little family.
Thank you so much for joining us on this strange journey. Every comment, like and view genuinely helps us continue restoring this old house and documenting our lives along the way.
Jacob, Amber, Bonnie & Muddy ❤️
Are you sure Kevin cloud wasn't around. What's a house Reno without a pregnancy in the midst !

Thanks for the great videos, and congrats on baby Bonnie! That bookshelf that looks like a tree is really cool. Was that something you designed yourself or was it part of a kit?

1:12 Ripping Everything Out
I wish you Brits would stop using wall to wall carpet.. if it isn't all wool it off gases ....yeah..you breath it - they wont wont to tell you that.. plus all that moisture in England just becomes even more unhealthy harboring mold... dont do it in the actual house....please... use natural materials this is your forever house....

So glad this tiny home made it. Lovely to know you didn’t have to resort to a camper or parents’ house.

Excellent. You have certainly come along way in your renovations.

I'm looking forward to this renovation! New sub!
13:20 Our First Night Inside
13:35 Tiling Trouble
I don't understand why people in Europe install pedestal sinks so often. There is no space on top for toiletries and no storage below. The space could be used so much better.

18:44 The Tiles Go Up
Question if I may?...What is that plastic box attached to the shower hose?

So have enjoyed every single moment of this. Hope you both, Baby Bonnie, and Muddy are all well. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

@JRL03and now when you get the cottage done you can use the anex as a geust place our your kid can live there when they are older
@lucateil15:00 - "It's been the most tiring month..." Oh how innocent you sounded! If only you knew! Haha. Great job 👏
@IsaacBirchallHuge respect for tackling all of that DIY yourselves! The carpet through the window move and the green color-drenching saga had me laughing, but the final outcome is so cozy and beautiful. 🤩
@doinablaabI really should not laugh at all the repeats of “disgusting”
@RedFlyerMediaHello friends, did you try a light glaze to soften that bathroom green something with a whitish hue ,just saying,
@normagisle6056Do you not use paint rollers in the UK?
@natesquestyouknowthatsrigh8269Love it.😊❤
@natesquestyouknowthatsrigh8269You have made a beautiful home in the tiny house and a beautiful video with the whole story. Thank you for sharing.
@monikahartmann860925:56 Not only do you have separate taps for hot and cold (why??), but the direction of the handle is totally opposite of the direction of the water flow … Whyyyy?
@LobsterCanaryStipple white over it with the roller wall paper effect or not ! to give it a wall
@MarieMathiesen-c7pThe retrospective is a good reminder of how funny you are as a duo working on things!
@NigeyWigeyWhat I do love about your videos is that you always find the right words to paint the bigger picture over all the small details, and take us with you on your journey to the lovliest home to be in the Cotswolds :)
@susannavongreifenwaldThe bathroom hasn't got any ventilation? Isn't it going to be difficult to drain it and get rid of dampness later?
@vrgoblin12bE Careful to wear that PPE because H A N T A V I R U S Especially masks
@chateaumojoThe tiny house looks amazing!!
@9141129Amazing!
@lz738I forgot how much work you had done! Thanks for sharing.
@KrisSharp-vl6mlDog is well named.
@markbader4942I love your videos! They are beautifully edited and very artsy. I cheer you on and I hope YouTube is giving you guys the means to chase your dreams. Congrats on being relentless on that pursuit. The annex looks beautiful and I can't wait to see you uncover more of the old cottage.
@carolbotturaI have to know what song that is during Chapter 7!
@HellolaurenrvaMuddy makes me giggle!
@katherinewolf7765The handles on your taps are 90deg out. They're supposed to be parallel to the wall when off. Easy fix.
@ZRXRICKA huge UK social media deco trend was Colour Drenching - painting everything the same colour!!! It did not last long. Does work in some places.
@MmeWilliamsonLook at you guys go ❤
@Sweeney1988allthough climbing ivy looks great on old buildings and cottages Climbing ivy is devastating for stone and brick walls it not only keeps moisture in the wall but the vince wreck the pointing and masonary good choice to remove it.
@blastingweevil2968Jacob and Amber, first and foremost, watching you share the news of an unexpected pregnancy and your reactions was very heartwarming! Secondly, great job on renovating the tiny apartment, garage, annex! Albeit, unfinished or mistakes aside your hard work and invested time paid off! God bless your journey and I’m along for it!
@markbradt1276What was in the freezer ?! You blurred it, so it's left to our imaginations !
@miarremThank you for sharing can’t wait to see the final design. Love Buddy ❤
@annfidge1123posh people make a meal of everything.. I could have bashed that out in a week,
@InappropriatepaulI remember almost being able to smell that kitchen through the screen! You’ve made a little miracle…. And a nice home too 😂
