@josephdunham9165There is no way that the Phillies are World Series contenders, not with their garbage bullpen (except Duran) and their way too inconsistent hitting. Good luck getting anyone in the trade deadline either, because the Phillies farm system has been depleted into irrelevance. Deplete the farm system even more for a rental? Or stand pat and potentially punt the season away and possibly another year off of an already aging core (could be two years if there's a lockout next season)? Pick your poison. Things aren't exactly looking up in Philly right now.
