Great video. My first bike was 2016 Busa, stretched, lowered, flashed, tuned. I learned the hard way on this bike, the Freedom was and still is worth it.

WRONG!!!...The SR-71 was fueled after takeoff because it was not safe to have it fully fueled on takeoff. On landing it would actually burn fuel to get to a safe landing weight. The aircraft expansion was NOT designed to leak fuel as some poster said. That's a guaranteed aircraft fire or explosion and makes no sense.
Of course it burned a lot of fuel and had to be refueled depending on the mission.

17:10 The Nightmare Scenario for the Big Four
I brought a 1986 Suzuki gsxr-1100 as soon as they hit the US in 86. It was the king during its short rein. When the busa came out I hated the beaked nose look. Decades later I own a Gen3. Yeah I'm an old guy still doing the sport bike thing...lol

Hi I can fully appreciate the engineering and styling behind the busa a fantastic machine just not one for me

24:50 Why the 1999 Hayabusa is the Eternal King
It wasn't just Suzuki. The Kawasaki ZX12R killed the Busa in 2000 and 2001. Then the EU stepped in stating that they would ban their motorcycles if they did not make changes. The companies agreed that they would still innovate but apply a speed governor to limit speeds starting with 2003 models.

@phavelar5:00 he hit em with the JEREMY CLARKSON!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@SumoWilIf you like passive-aggresive corporate model names, a cool example is the 2003 Audi prototype, created by Walter de Silva, a designer who had been poached from Alfa Romeo. It was called the Audi Nuvolari after the racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, who had been poached from Alfa Romeo to Auto-Union [Audi predecessor] in 1938. The Italians didn't like it very much though.
De Tomaso Mangusta is another example, same story as Hayabusa, about animals eating other animals (Cobra was the prey).
I had a 1998 Zuke TL1000R
@xuxienwaFuckin Germans always crying, same reason why we had to wait 25 years to import stuff because of crybaby Germans smfh. Then they wanna come around on the back end and make shit faster like they did something epic.

@Bigjoelifts15The non street legal H2R killed it
@danleonhart1GREAT-GREAT post! I bought the blue and silver 2005 Busa’s with 51,000 miles on it now. Only one rebuild, and went past 200 ONCE…Just to see… Thought the speedo only goes to 185, the digital readout showed 20xx.9 I don’t ride it like that anymore, but love still riding one at 70 years young! Woohoo! Typical ‘senior citizen’ activities…❤️😎🇺🇸
@hummerzdcaCBR1100XX Blackbird... I had a Black 1999 and a 2002 Grey 1100XX. The Black one was much faster than my 2002!
@keithcardwell7275Zero tolerance for AI videos! Shouldn’t be allowed!
@zeus9855Looks like a Murder Hornet. I rode it only one time. Scared me to death how fast it went over the Dames Point Bridge in Jacksonville. It pulled like crazy going UP the bridge.
@catmando1786This is why those type of motorcycles are called donor cycles. I’m surrounded by dead and injured bikers in my street. The kid across the street dead the next door, broken collarbone, broken legs 2 houses down both kids major motorcycle accidents once got his back screwed up one had his ankle screwed up with full gear. They’re the only ones I had full gear.
@konstruct11Anyone who looks at a Hayabusa and doesn't think it looks fast knows nothing about fast bikes. I bought my first bike in 2000. A brand new Hayabusa. I'd never sat on a bike. I've had many bikes since but only my Buss and CBR954RR are the only 2 I'll never part ways with. My kids will inherit those monsters one day. Neither are the fastest, quickest, or most expensive I've had but both are perfect bikes and fit me perfectly. 21 and 26 years later and they still put a smile on my face every ride. Screw the kids, I may be buried with them both, lol.
@boduke9428I got my 2000 ZX12R up to 192mph one night and then I decided that was fast enough. Governments suck and people who live in fear do too.
@1965aceI have a 2000 Busa, it's insanely easy to hit triple digits before you know it, 1st gear 90mph, 2nd gear around 120 I think. So when you shift to second gear, if you rev it out, you are well past 100 mph in a split second. I get a lot of crap from other sport bike owners that say they would rather have a bike that goes around corners. I'm only half way through this video but I don't see anything yet about the handling, which I would say is better than a lot of 600 cc, and much lighter, bikes. The only drawback I experienced with the bike is the crazy tall gearing and that's easily remedied with a new sprocket set and chain. Just hope you like wheelies. 🤣 Anyway, I told one fat ass sport bike rider that looked like a giant can of biscuit dough exploded on his GSXR when he's sitting on it, that I'm happy to let him work his ass off in the corners and I'll just blow by him on the straights.
@manstersrCheck Japanese Pronunciation of Hayabusa 🤭
@vincesarmiento5621A while ago, on german TV they made a report about the Hayabusa. (one/some of the bits on the road in this video could be from this report)
That what was the most astounding was the view on the speedometer when it accelerated from about 200 km/h to 250, 270 - that was as swift as if it would have been from 50 to 100. Just a linear movement of the needle, as if it would be nothing.
and then BMW released the S1000rr , it may have stopped at 299kmh but it gets there so very quickly . so corner to corner , the BMW runs away .,,,,,,,, you know , the real world !
@phillcc8524The Hayabusa just feels completely uninspiring , an average Universal Japanese Motorcycle , but open the throttle and it just seems to keep going faster all the time ! but the Honda Blackbird ? t feels big , intimidating , and omigod fast , much faster than a bike that big has a right to be , the Hayabusa will eat it at top speed but is completely benign during average day to day riding
@phillcc8524im lucky to be alive ,we joked that it was Japan getting back at us for the bomb X2
