It was the last proper GTA before multiplayer era, so you had cool sandbox / rpg elements in single player which later they reserved for multiplayer which I donβt like

I still love no draw distance GTA SA.
It's just surreal cause even with it being like a waffle on the ground the distance still feels far apart despite it looking so tiny rendered all together from the sky
My Brother made the Map beat, but he doesnt post his music online, idk why

V is too arcade driving while it fits the PS2 trilogy. 4 is too realistic. I want a happy medium between the 2 games. I love the damage physics in 4 undeniably the best in the franchise. And I don't have a license because I have epilepsy. GTA 4 driving is hard but when you get the hang of it and start pulling drifts and shit off you feel like a badass it's really rewarding to learn but understandable why not everyone likes it. I do though.

My cousin pirated this game for me when i was maybe 5 years old. She taught me to play it but i never bothered with the missions. I mean i played them and i have very specific memories of certain scenes and dialogue still, but i never understood them. And i was deathly afraid of the countryside and anywhere with lots of trees or open desert. So i only stayed in los santos and never continued past a certain mission. This was back in maybe 2012 or 2013. Computers in my country were practically a new invention back then and video games were a very rare thing to come across, so piracy and or going to the rich relative/friend's house was the only way to experience these things. I played this game mainly, and maybe a few need for speeds and roblox and minecraft here and there, till maybe 2018 when i fr started learning the ways of the computer and video games and other media. Those were a very entertaining few years for me. I was so content. Life used to be so simple.

I just played through San Andreas this year for the first time and it is so amazingly good still. My favorite GTA game. It just is so damn addictive and varied
@jayjones9225You can do stuff in San Andreas that you can't do in the modern game.
@asadadonRip ur mother respect bro
@tinytlordIncoming children saying βahhhh thatβs just nostalgia talking!β
@ryandumphyI love how this game just really captures the early 90s in L.A and California between the music and the pop culture references and the fashion just like how well they did 1980s Miami in Vice City, the attention to detail is what really sets these games apart from everyone else besides being an free roaming crime simulator, I'll be playing these games even 30 or 40 years from now
@irishspaghetti2Yes.
@jessemasters1446Cheats ARE the main attraction for the game (in my opinion) GTA Sucks without them π€·π»ββοΈ Cheats represent freedom & creativity in Single player games π«‘
But yeah, I'm Strictly against any kind of cheats & hacks in Online games π
P.S. The BEST part about the game was, it ran on Average & Affordable PCs π₯²
I donβt care about nostalgia. This game is pretty damm good and I still love playing it. I had problem with every open world non linear game I played since GTA San Andreas. Those other games have really bad immersion. GTA V or Witcher for example forces you to follow the style of your character(s) while Skyrim lets you level up your character so much that you started playing as archer and end up being dark mage.
Yet CJ is still the same, but you can make him look to what you want. Do you feel like a business man? Get yourself an emperor or similar car, dress yourself in ZIP or VICTIM. Do you feel like gangsta? Go to Bingo and get yourself a lowrider. Yet cj is still true to himself, with all the same quotes and values. I bet that everyone who played GTA San Andreas have this feeling. Or Am I the only one?
I just beat 4 for my first time and now trying to beat SA for my first time. BAD IDEA lmao gta progressed so much from SA to 4
@thedonofthsht76-58May your mom rest in peace bro β€
@intellectracoonEverything but flight school slapped
@evanmiller5710Ragebait title bro
@Capt.TpBahamaI love that all I had to do was follow the damn train
@AndBeyond333That last line hit me pretty hard. We were born too late to explore the world and too early to explore the Stars, but we were born just in time to follow the damn train.
@blknightsixtyfoThe story is great. The gameplay is great (for it's release time). The missions are fun. The map is dense cause of it's multiple cities. The rocky and deser areas were big but not too big. It's probably one of the best games ever especially in the open world or crime genres.
@DaddaRidleyyo wtf is up with the guy groaning in the background itβs pissing me off
@MrSquid427No it sucked. Worst GTA game. Its always just people where this was their first. Its nostalgia.
GTA was my first GTA and I have played every single game in the series at time of release.
This was the worst. Then V.
Yes. It was. Next video: was ocarina of time actually a good game
@giteausuperstarYes, next question
@Adeel808sI can't speak for anyone else, but I tried playing San Andreas after playing GTA IV, and it was dated enough that I couldn't get into it.
@bigbuffguy9589gta sa: Was i a good game??
me: You were the best its been 20yrs still u r
"Was GTA San Andreas actually a good game?"
"Is the sky blue?"
"Is the grass green?"
ahh question
You always need to take the time and context of a game into account any time you're talking about whether a game was good at the time. Because hindsight can ruin or skew everyone's perception of it. Is it a good game now? Objectively I'd say yes it is. But I also have to add nostalgia into the equation. Because I was alive and in my early 20's when San Andreas released. I remember. And it's extremely difficult separating that and looking objectively. So from a now perspective? It's good. Not amazing. Even counting in that it's decades old. The open world? Not bad. Future proofed fairly well. The graphics? For the time and now knowing it's old and limited? Pretty good and some of the best from the era. The gameplay? Also good with lots to do and large amounts of story and customization. The controls? Now here's where it goes down hill. For the time? Yes. The industry was still figuring out the best ways for 3D controls. I know I was there. Even first person shooters were iffy. That especially was still being figured out. Halo set the standard eventually. But try to play Metal of Honor on PS1. Or Time Splitters. But looking at it from the perspective of say Gen Z? Pretty good. But hard to control and what to them would probably seem very jerky and studdery control wise. The story done to death from the point of view of the last 25 years. Because it was copied and made the standard for the genre up to now. But had a million clones the entire decade of the 2000's until now. Saints Row, Crackdown, True Crime, etc. But at the time? I know I was there. It was amazing. Doing tons more than GTA 3 and Vice City. Controls were added to and better, the world map. An upgrade in the best ways. Story was also as good or better than the other two. There was a ton to do and see with more customization than we'd ever had before. I love San Andreas. And I put more time into it than anything else at the time. The same thing happened with Oblivion and Skyrim. Set the bar. I even bought the half a$$ mobile port version for Xbox 360 and still have it. The triple pack for PlayStation 2. And recently just bought the "re-master" on Xbox one S. Although I waited until everyone said it was basically, mostly, kinda fixed. I even have the mobile versions on this phone I'm typing on. San Andreas in my opinion is a great game. In basically every way except maybe controls. But two decades later. With hindsight. But also nostalgia and decades of fond memories. It's almost impossible to be objective for me.
@chrisl8224Played this game on PS2, PS3, PS4, and iOS. Itβs my favourite game of all time
