If you Khalil did everything the same but had the size and reach of Cyril Gane he would have finished Alex in this fight. So many techniques here would have caused big problems but Khalil was just too short to pull them off or land them.

Why NOBODY talks about how stiff alex is when his guards are high ? There's no moment in him, he just looks out for that one lunch KO always, a person like khalil with his technicality & agility will take Alex down for sure one day 👊 Izzy already did, who's next ?!

Alex Pereira is arguably the most talented fighter in his weight division today. His body definition & lengths through arm & legs give him incredible offensive options. If he can fully learn how to utilize those attributes to his full potential I see very few men he cannot defeat, not that he can't be defeated. He takes a good hit well too. When he takes an aggressive but measured stance from the start of his fights, I don't think he has been defeated. A phenom to watch fight.

Why didnt Rountree use oblique kicks? Pereira seems easy to be figured out. He's dragging one foot behind while the leading leg is asking for it. His awkward jab wouldnt work when taken out of the rhythm and the right distance. I think some Dagestani did just that plus a bit of wrestling

After rewatching multiple times, Im rooting for khalil every time. Alex is just too good most of the time.

People query if he can take on the bald frenchman at heavyweight, talking about speed, skill, etc. Rowntree is faster than the frenchman, probably more skilled too. Look at the fight vs the English guy who got eye poked. You can see the english guy got past his guard sometimes. The exchanges were nothing like what we see here. Both of them leave themselves wide open after attacks. Poa will crush the frenchman
